2.1.1 COMPONENTS DESCRIPTION1) Flange: used for connecting loading bellows to an existing connection flange.

2) Suction fan (only for loading bellows with built-in dust filters): removes the air column saturated with dust from the interspaces between the two bellows by forcing the passage through the filters.

3) Body (only for loading bellows with built-in dust filters): contains the 8 replaceable filter cartridges.

4) External bellows: protects the internal bellows from possible damage.

5) Grip: provided for an easy handling of the conical end.

6) Conical end: coated with soft synthetic material and placed on the tanker inlet to prevent leakage of dusts.

7) Level probe cone: contains the level probe and disperses the material.

8) Level probe: provided with a rotary blade, it interrupts flow when the level of material already deposited touches the blade.

9) Inner bellows: the product falls into these bellows up to the tanker inlet opening.

10) Filter cartridge (only for loading bellows with built-in dust filters): the filter cartridges, together with the suction fan and air cleaning system, ensure loading without emission of dusts.

11) Drive unit: raises and lowers the end section.

12) Slack cable contact: when the conical end is rested on the tanker opening, the hoist cable becomes slack allowing the slackened cable contact to press the limit stop. This stops slackening of the cable.

13) Identification plate: shows the following data: serial number, type and year of manufacture; must always be indicated for ordering spare parts.

14) Control panel: may be on board the machine or remote; contains the operating logic electric circuits.

15) Air cleaning system: cleans the filter cartridge.

16) Bottom closure cone: prevents dust from leaking out of the loading bellows when the tanker is discon-nected to avoid dust dispersal around the loading bellows.

17) Bottom closure cone bellows: connects the bottom closure cone to the unloading cone.

18) Open truck terminal: equipped with feet to rest on the bottom of the open trucks.

19) Skirt for ZC-ZD version: avoids dispersion of dust into the environment.

20) Skirt for ZE-ZF version: has tapered shape for double use on tanker and open trucks

2.3.9 LEVEL INDICATORSThey indicate whether the tanker is full, or, in case of open trucks, they allow the step by step ascending of the loading bellows.

Blowing unitIt consists of:

- Solenoid vales (5) fitted inside the tank to reduce pressure drop (3);- Blowing pipes (1) connected to the tank fittings (2);- Externally anodized aluminium air tank with two heads (4) also made from aluminium with black matte cata-

phoresis finishing;- Air inlet (4);- Condensation drain tap (6).

The electronic timer manages sequentially the compressed air flow to the blowing pipes. The filter requires the connection to compressed air pipe at constant 6 bar.The compressed air must be clean, de-moist and oil free.

The spreader is positioned near the outlet spout in loaders for loading to tankers. It is particularly suitable for use with powdery, light materials since, owing to the rotation of a fan, the material is distributed uniformly inside the tanker allowing entry of a larger quantity of material.

The spreader consists of the following parts:1) Control panelIf the spreader is supplied, in addition to all the operating logic of the loading bellows, the electric panel also contains the operating logic for the spreader and an indicator light on the alarm panel front to signal the alarm if the pressure in the pneumatic panel is less than 1 bar.

2) Pneumatic control panel VMX01GIt is used for sending air into the motor protection cone to cool the motor.It consists of (see Fig. 3):

3) Motor air feeding pipeIt is a spiralled tube, 8x6 mm diameter, integral with the outer bellows connected to pneumatic panel, VMX01G, on one side and the spreader cone on the other side. It conveys cooling air to the electric motor.

4) Electric motor power supply cableIt is the electric cable which is connected to the panel to power the spreader motor.

5) Level indicator cableIt is the electric cable which is connected to the panel to power the vibrating level indicator.

6) Level indicator head 7) Level indicator forks The level indicator is of the vibrating type, with the head containing the operating logic installed externally on the grip of the lower cone, while the vibrating forks are connected in remote inside the spreader cone.

8) CounterweightInstalled at 180 degrees to the head of the level indicator, it is meant for balancing the weight.

1) Rotor Positioned at the top of the cone, its rotation helps to distribute the material inside the tanker.

2) Protection cone The cone is connected to the outlet spout and contains the electric motor, the vibrating forks of the level indica-tor, the rotor and the tubes for connection to the various utilities.

3.4.9 CHOOSING THE LOADING BELLOWS LENGTH

The extended length of the loading bellows must be chosen taking into account the fact that part of the loader will enter the tanker once the bottom closure cone fits all the way into the inlet spout. The Table below indicates the length of the loading bellows that enters the tanker, depending on the inlet spout diameter.
