Early Childhood Partnerships
• Illinois Early Learning Council project
• Funding Source: Early Childhood State Advisory Council (SAC) Grant (federal)
• All funds must be spent by April 30, 2013
Goal = Develop or strengthen early childhood partnerships at the local level
Project Components
1. Design and implement technical assistance & mini-grant program for early childhood partnerships2. Provide regional and statewide training opportunities on local systems-building and partnership capacity development3. Create a web-based resource to support local partnerships

Despite the availability of Head Start and Preschool for All (in public schools and in community-based settings), 50% of at-risk children in Community ABC enter kindergarten without preschool experience
Example Collaborative Strategy
Head Start, public schools, and child care programs with Preschool for All funding coordinate outreach and intake efforts to ensure hardest to reach/most at-risk children are accessing available services
