Position Title: Technical Architect – Microsoft
Business Unit: Enterprise - Solution Delivery
Location: Lancaster
Employment Status: Full Time With Complete Benefit Package
Position Description:
• Provide technical solution and leadership to projects
and pursuing project opportunities. Take part
in reviewing, designing, and trouble-shooting project
technical architecture, designs, common components,
and code.
• Be accountable for the technical integrity of the
project architecture/design.
• Support Sales Team on pre-sales activities and
participate in responding to client proposal requests.
• Meet and consult with clients to determine scope and
effort of projects.
• Participate in requirements definition and prototype
design.
• Architect, develop and implement enterprise
applications using the Microsoft .NET Framework
developer toolsets, including Visual Studio 2008,
2010, and/or 2012.
• Extensive understanding and experience with the
MVC architecture pattern for applications and the
Entity Framework.
• Architect, develop and implement supporting
database systems using Microsoft SQL Server 2008
R2 and/or 2012.
• Architect, develop, and implement MS SQL Server
business intelligence/data warehouse solutions using
SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS.
• Collaborate with graphic designers and integrate
HTML5/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX (JQuery) with
functional programming.
• Understanding of unit testing tools and practices, as
well as experience with ALM software utilities.
• Understanding of Responsive Web Design practices.
• Mobile development experience a plus – iOS and/or
Android.
Education/Certification:
• BS in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Current Microsoft certifications desirable in either
web development or business intelligence/data
warehousing.
• Current accredited software architect certifications a
plus (tool-based, framework-based, etc.).
Experience:
• Broad knowledge of Microsoft technology,
frameworks, solutions, and tools.
• At least 8+ years of work experience with
architecting, designing and developing Windows and
browser-based software solutions.
• At least 3+ years of Microsoft architect experience
(either in web development or in MS SQL business
intelligence).
• Database architecture with SQL Server 2008 R2
and/or 2012 including normalized design, stored
procedures, and reporting services.
• Strong written and oral communication skills as well
as good interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Previous consultative assignments experience a plus.
Application Knowledge:
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, 2010, and/or 2012
• .NET Framework 1.1 to 4.5, and its implementation
using Visual Basic .NET and/or C#.NET
• SQL Server 2008 R2 and/or 2012 management
toolset
• SQL Server SSAS, SSRS, SSIS for 2008 R2 and/or
2012
• IIS web server
• Microsoft Office
