New version SW 3.0.105
The SW version 3.0.105 is available on PC SYNCH that has many new functionalities and solutions for some malfunctions. However we would like to provide two important installation notes, as already mentioned also in NF 2015/002 and 2015/003, in particular: 1. DO NOT INSTALL this version or versions 3.x.xxx on UNITY before checking the
Bios version of the Middleboard (e.g. Bootloader), in the Service menu (2501). If the Middleboard Bios version is lower than 7, an upgrade to version 3.0.105 would only cause the system to crash, without being able to recover it. The only solution is to replace the device. (See details in NF 2015/002).
2. DO NOT INSTALL this version or versions 3.x.xxx on UNITY before checking if the version on the device is 2.5.56 or higher.

VISIOWEB does not turn on
If there is a problem with the device and the screen is off but the green LED is illuminated on the CPU, the problem is related to a discharged backup battery. This is a battery that is commercially available, model CR2032 - 3V. Even if it is partially discharged it could cause the device to malfunction. To replace it, remove the tinning on the retainer clip and then reapply it.
Facebook & Youtube do not function correctly
The releases of the latest SW versions and in particular the most recent one available now 5.42.0/6.42.0 have solved some operating problems and updates have been released that make it possible to correctly use and display Facebook and Youtube. If there are any messages regarding their malfunction, please update the SW, paying attention to and carefully following the instructions indicated in the relative release document, located in TG Direct (Product release -> Machine SW -> User Interface Devices -> VISIOWEB).

Anti-slip platform for rear feet
To keep the machine from sliding on the floor while training, a metal platform is now available that is positioned below the rear feet of the machine as shown in the figure below. This accessory can be ordered using code A0000799,
The platform is also suitable for “smooth” surfaces such as parquet or resin floors, as there are two anti-slip adhesive strips on the bottom.
Rear feet adjustment
The guard that covers the machine's rear feet has been modified to make it easier to adjust them. Its inner side has been left open to make it easier to access the feet with a wrench. The codes for the new components can be seen on the exploded view drawings.

New production process for carter variant “-G”
The process for making the guards for the entire line has changed, now using photoengraving, resulting in a change of the code variant from “-G” to “-DR”. The spare part codes with variant “–G” will no longer be available and will be progressively replaced by the corresponding “-DR” variants. Visually, the colour differences are minimal, whereas the surface of the guards produced using photoengraving are rougher to the touch than the previous ones.

Incorrect polarity of the primary shaft magnet
Some preassembled units of the primary shaft were shipped with magnets on the aluminium pulley that were installed in the opposite direction. The result is having equal polarity with the magnets mounted on the main machine frame, which causes incorrect operation. To solve the problem the magnet must be removed and then installed in the opposite direction. The magnet is inserted in a metal support, which is fastened on the pulley of the main shaft. To remove it, we suggest carrying out the following procedure:
1. Remove the screw that fastens the magnet support on the pulley, from the opposite side of the magnet.
2. Obtain an M5 screw that is longer than the one just removed, and screw it in, using it to push the magnet out of its seat (see the photo below)
3. Reinsert the magnet in the opposite directly, and then fasten the support on the pulley.

Noisy “dual pulley” unit
The problems related to noise originating from the dual pulley unit were mainly caused by the deterioration of the bearings on the pulleys. To solve the problem, adjustable bearings are now used and these also have spare part codes, which can be seen in the exploded drawings. The first machines manufactured with this solution have SN: DAF33Y14000632 DAF33L14000319 DAF34L14000588 DAF23L14000389 DAF24L14000627

Joystick breakage
The problem of the premature breakage of some joysticks has been solved by changing the process of creating the joysticks. The code for the new component has been changed to 0N000192AA-GG.
New running platform shock absorbers
The shock absorbers for the running platforms have been unified for all treadmills in the Excite line: Run, Run NOw and Jog NOW, with the one used in Run ARTIS. This solution uses 2 "long" shock absorbers and 2 "short" shock absorbers. To make it easier to manage the spare parts following this change, for treadmills in the Excite line, a unit containing 2 "long" shock absorbers and 4 "short" shock absorbers will be supplied as spare parts, so that regardless of the configuration of the machine it is always possible to replace all four shock absorbers.

DAP: exercise cable breakage near the terminal
If this problem occurs, the breakage is most likely caused by the difficult rotation near the terminal. The rubber cover of the terminal has been changed to solve the problem. The new model, which is fully interchangeable with the previous one, can be ordered using the code R0006768AB, which also includes the terminal unit. REMEMBER, EACH TIME THE CABLE IS REPLACED DUE TO THE BREAKAGE PROBLEM DESCRIBED ABOVE, ALSO THE TERMINAL UNIT MUST BE REPLACED WITH THE NEW MODEL THAT IS AVAILABLE IF IT IS NOT ALREADY INSTALLED. IT IS ALSO STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE THE TERMINAL OF THE CABLE ON THE OPPOSITE MACHINE SIDE TO PREVENT ITS BREAKAGE.
PA05: Yielding of the frame with handles and supports
We have received reports regarding the yielding of the upper frame with the supports and handles. The cause has been identified as the loosening of the 2 fastening screws (shown below in the figure) that causes the frame to move during training until the screws break, causing the structure to yield.
To avoid this possible problem, a new assembly procedure has been defined where the screws are tightened to 62 Nm with the application of Loctite 270 on them.

The first machine produced following this procedure has SN PA0514100175. We strongly suggest that you always check the tightening of the screws shown above and to apply Loctite before tightening them, each time work is performed on these products.

Noise during training
If the machine makes noise while training, and in particular if there is a “creaking” noise coming from the lower part of the frame, first check if there is a foot in the central part of the frame (see figure below).
If the foot is not present, install it, ordering the foot (0G000418AA) and the fastening/adjusting nut (0Z419) and adjust its position. Each time the equipment is installed, moved or worked on, please note that if the central foot is not adjusted again so that it stands correctly on the floor damage or noise may result.
