WHO WE AREInnoDrive is a volunteer-powered organization of volunteers on that dedicate their time to making this possible.

While we are not direct teachers, we are masters at creating environments where our attendees can become active learners. We help define the parameters and create opportunities for people to ask hard questions, achieve great success, and yes, even fail.

There is no better way to learn than by doing it. Participants become better entrepreneurs, coaches become better mentors, judges become better advocates, sponsors become more engaged, and  communities foster creativity and innovation.

What is TechDriveCreated by the Innodrive non-profit organisation from Targu Mures, TechDrive is a 24 weeks program dedicated to expanding public understanding of STEM and the values of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through trainings, workshops and e-learning resources.

Our goal is to encourage people to develop their interests in all areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through mentoring and hands-on learning with cool projects, interesting demos, and fascinating presentations by other participants and local professionals. We especially want to encourage people to get involved with learning programming and exploring STEM careers.

WHY• Access to education

Every person should have the opportunity to learn computer science. We believe computer science and computer programming should be part of the core curriculum in education, alongside other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) courses, such as biology, physics, chemistry and algebra.

WHY• Improve the development of 21st century skills

We are more and more exposed to technology like iPads, iPhones, and games on the Internet. We get more interested in technology, and want to talk to other people who are also interested in technology. That's what TechDrive is about in the short term; connecting people with similar interests

WHY• Guidance in choosing a career path

In the longer term, there is a huge trend today toward a higher and higher demand in industry for computer programmers and engineers. There is a significant shortage of that skill today; our focus is to help kids, teens and adults further along on their path of interest in technology and programming.

Kids under 10Parents of kids under 10 are encouraged to participate, and learn with their kids too.

Learning to program a computer is like learning to play the piano. Anyone can learn and anyone can benefit from learning. But to become good at it takes practice. If you plan to bring your child on Saturdays, please try to make an hour or more during the week for them to practice with and explore what they learn with us. The more they do outside of sessions, the more they’ll get out of being in the program.
