What it doesn’t do: Detect performance impact on end-user experience. Shorten the time it takes to isolate and resolve performance problems. Give insight into how well business-critical applications are performing across the wire. Collect and report on resource utilization data for capacity optimization and planning.

What it does: It lets you know whether your network devices and circuits are available and passing data optimally.

Today’s application-driven environments need more.

What is the health of your network devices?

How are my devices performing compared to baseline?

Which interfaces are experiencing high utilization, errors, discards and other thresholds impacting application delivery?

How are my QoS queues performing and are they right-sized for my environment?

CA Network Flow Analysis—Benefits

Reduce WAN Costs. Increase visibility into utilization levels in order to optimize network capacity. Make sure bandwidth is not the root cause for performance issues before investing in costly upgrades.

Detect, isolate and resolve network problems faster.

Reduce false positives and wasted efforts through patented anomaly detection that dynamically adapts the network profile to ensure detection accuracy.

Gain an enterprise-wide view of infrastructure availability and performance and, when needed, drill down to flow components for detailed analysis and guided workflows that enable faster problem remediation.

Understand, predict and meet changing network capacity demands.

Get reality-based capacity planning with access to 13 months of enterprise-wide historical data. Intelligent, fact-based decisions regarding capacity investments and resource optimization addresses and

anticipates evolving technical and business requirements.

Align to business priorities.

Cisco NBAR2 support enables rich application accounting, classification and reporting to enhance visibility into applications running on the network.

With enhanced visibility—intelligently prioritize, control, route, load-balance and optimize application traffic to maximize user experience, optimize bandwidth and reduce costs.

Application Response Time AnalysisVisibility Into Network Latency’s Impact on End-User Experience

Is it a network, server or application problem?

How do I quickly prove that the network is not the cause for poor application performance?

When did the problem begin and how long has it lasted?

How many users were impacted?

Did application response time dramatically improve after QoS routing policies were updated?

CA Application Delivery Analysis—Benefits

Isolate and resolve problems faster.

• Get at-a-glance view of critical application performance.• Quickly localize the problem and put the right resource on the case.• Capture additional details to help determine root cause, while problem is occurring instead of

waiting for a reoccurrence.

Reduce risks from planned changes and unexpected events.

• Measure the impact of infrastructure changes and new applications.• Validate the effectiveness of an MPLS migration, VoIP deployment, WAN optimization, QoS policy

change, load balancing and link and server upgrades.

Measures Cisco WAAS application, network and server response time improvements.

• Quantify Cisco WAAS improvements with before and after analysis.• Optimize the network infrastructure for application performance by identifying Cisco WAAS

improvements to the application, network, and server.• Provide consistent and improved application delivery with Cisco WAAS optimizations and NetQoS

reporting.
