Gajanan Bhandari Prakash Jadhav PLACEMENT IN FITJEE (COACHING INSTITUTE) DELHI Mirdul Saxsena Mr. Pranv Sapkal (Ph.D. Scholar) presented a paper in Indo –Australian conference on Biomaterial, Tissue Engineering, Drug Delivery system & Regenerative medicine (BiTERM-2015) organized by Anna Univer- sity, Chennai on 5 Feb, 2015 to 7 Feb, 2015. His paper titled as “CAD base approach for patient specific scaf- fold for bone tissue engineering.” is awarded as best paper during this conference. Prof. A.M. Kuthe delivered expert lecture at IIT Roorkee on 2 Mar, 2015 in Bio-technology dept. The topic of lecture was "RP assisted tissue engi- neering" Prof. R. Jayaganthan Head of depart- ment, Prof. Soumitra Satapathi with PhD scholars of the department attended the lecture. It was nice academic interaction. Prof. Jayaganthan ex- pressed his desire to sign MOU with VNIT, Nagpur in the area of tissue engineering. Prof. Kuthe also visited the cell culture facility in the department developed by Prof. Gopinath. In future it is planned to run PhD programme at VNIT Nagpur in association with IIT, Roorkee to enhance collaborative research. Dear All, I am very glad to inform you that our team has successfully completed six months of keeping the VNIT Students abreast with socio-technological developments and showcasing the achievements in CAD-CAM Centre. As expected while initiating the concept of this monthly newsletter, many more hands joined us in our journey from all possible areas of CAD-CAM. We also received lot of appreciation from NBA Com- mittee which came for accreditation to VNIT, Nagpur in the month of January. On 26th Mar, 2015 M. tech first year CAD-CAM students visited
three industries in MIDC, Nagpur namely AGROFAB Ltd., ONKAR
Industries Ltd., and Windal Precision. All these companies are
CNC automation based manufacturing industries. All 23 students
of M. tech got exposure to industrial working environment as well
as practical understanding of some processes such as CNC press
working and HMC working, etc.
CAD-CAM ACHEIVERS
One day workshop on CAD-CAM tools was successfully conducted
on 28 Mar, 2015 for off-campus engineering students. Total 30 stu-
dents participated in this workshop. Mr. Gangadhar Navnage and
Mr. Sandeep Dahake demonstrated uses and various features of
VMC, EDM, WEDM, CMM and RP machine to students. Prof. A.M.
Kuthe delivered a lecture on RP technology and it’s application.
Also, Prof. Y. M. Puri threw light on CAM tools and technology.
