Brotherhood Poker Night Monday, February 15 7:00 pm at the Home of John Samolyk 60 Charles River Drive, Franklin
Gentlemen, it is time once again to go "all in". Please let me know if you are interested in join-ing the Brotherhood Texas Hold'em Poker event. Introduction to Judaism
Sunday, Starting March 1 16 Week Course 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Temple Building $275/individual or $360/couple
This 16-week course is designed for individuals and couples wishing to explore Judaism or considering becoming Jewish. Interfaith couples are encouraged to enroll together. Taught by a dynamic team of Reform rabbis, cantors and educators, Introduction to Judaism provides an opportunity to learn about Jewish history, traditions, holidays and life cycle ceremonies. Participants will gain comfort and famili-arity with the symbols, liturgy, music, traditions and Hebrew blessings that accompany Jewish celebrations in the home and synagogue. Rabbi Alpert will be the principal teacher. Advance registration is required. This class is offered by Reform Jewish Outreach Boston. The dates for this course are: March 1, 8, 15, 22, April 12, May 3, 10, 17, 31, June 7, 14, 21.
Welcoming Your Baby Understanding Jewish Birth Rituals
Thursday, March 5 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Temple Building
Designed for new parents and those anticipating parenthood, this interactive discussion ex-
plores ideas for welcoming a new baby in ways that honor both parents’ traditions and religious backgrounds. We will provide practical information about Jewish birth, adoption and naming ceremonies, and how these ceremonies might be adapted for your family. We will discuss opportunities to express gratitude for the deep blessings of parenthood that will enhance your growing family. Both partners encour-aged to attend together. Interfaith, Adoptive, Blended, LGBTQ families are welcome.
This course will be taught by Rabbi Allison Berry of Temple Shalom in Newton. There is no cost. Advanced registra-tion is required. Questions or to register, please go to their website or call 617-928-0012.

Be a JFS Patient Navigator Volunteer
You value your independence, help others keep theirs.
Join the JFS Patient Navigator corps of volunteers that provides access to vital health services. Patient Navigators are trained volun-teers who accompany frail older adults to medical appointments, facilitate communication with medical staff, and provide practical and emotional support. CJP funds JFS to provide this important service to Jewish seniors in Metrowest.
If you have an interest in helping frail older adults maintain their independence, Email JFS or call 508-875-3100 x110 or fill out their online form to volunteer. Next one day training will be scheduled in March. Date has not been determined yet.
