tenants; Christina and Connor who are settling

Team of the quarter A big congratulations goes to the Office team

on achieving the Team of the Quarter award.

The office staff have been working very hard to

ensure that all the services are running

smoothly. They have also been working

together to make sure that the tenants are

having the right amount of support they need.

So well done to all of them!

The GB Care Awards We would like to congratulate Gary Spooner,

Clinical Lead at DE Healthcare for being

nominated for the Good Nurse Award for the

Great British care awards 2017. An even bigger

congratulations goes to Gary for getting through

to the finals from this nomination, which actually

came from one of the tenants at De; Polly hale.

Polly said: “I nominated Gary for this award be-

cause of all the support he has given me, espe-

cially over the last 12 months, which has helped

me through hard times in my life. I know that I am

not the only person Gary supports this way and I

feel that he should be acknowledged for this. I

hope he wins”

DE Healthcare are also through to the finals, yet

again, at the Great British Care Awards 2017, for

the Employer Award! Hopefully, 2nd time around

DE will win this award.

Fingers crossed for both finalists!

Love2Shop A big well done goes out to some of the employees at DE for getting 100% on their training.

We recently introduced a £10.00 reward for staff that pass a training unit at 100%. So far we have

had Sonja Swift, Natalie Capper, and Evie Flannagan who have all got full marks. We also have Ellen

Corcoran and Dave Radford who also got 100% on two, yes two, different papers and we only

introduced this at the end of September 2017 so a very big well done to you all, keep it up.

tickets as soon as possible so you don’t miss out.

Get ready for the biggest fireworks display of the

year! Taking place at The meadows, 8 Stafford

Road, Uttoxeter. Tickets cost £7 per person.

• Children in need back to school event -

17th November

Taking place at the hub. Bring a £1 voluntary donation to dress up in school uniform! The best

dressed student gets a reward, so make sure you get creative! (all money goes to children in need)

• DE’s Got Talent Christmas Spectacular - 8th December

You all loved it last year so get ready for the second ever De’s Got

Talent!! And not only that, we’ve also thrown it into the Christmas party

which makes it two in one!

Make sure all of you who are performing start rehearsing soon!

Tickets cost £6 per person.

Employee Of the month Congratulations to Olivia

Simpson for being awarded

the employee of the month!

She has been a huge help to

staff and clients, and we view

her as a huge asset to the

team.

A Great Achievement Jordan Stamps has recently achieved a big goal,

which was to travel in the car with staff, without

family being present. Since Jordan joined us in

August 2014 staff have worked really hard to

encourage him to use the company vehicles.

Although Jordan has used the vehicles twice

when he first came to DE, he has not used them

for over 2 years and at the beginning of October

Jordan got into the car to go and visit his Nan and

Grandad. A big well done to Jordan, and all the

staff who have worked so hard on this goal and

made it happen. Jordan has since travelled in the

car again, and hopefully now he will continue to

make use of the cars which, in turn will give him a

better quality of life. To all the staff and Jordan;
