Teaching philosophy statement
My statement concentrated on
COURSE DELIVERY part for which I am
solely responsible.
To know all the students of my
course by NAME, and address them with
names.
To conduct MORE
discussions and INTERACTIONS
with my students.
Collect the FEEDBACK from
students at regular intervals
through small tests, their
opinions, polling etc...And try to improve myself,
which is a benefit for my
students.
To improve the RESULTS of my course in this
year compare to previous year at
least by 5%
IDENTIFY and cater to slow
learners
APPRECIATE the students and motivate for
better learning
To INTRODUCE working in
COLLABORATION
Achieve the EXPECTED
OUTCOMES of the course

Reflections on Fundamentals of Course Design
Introduced to proper words to be used in our objectives and outcomes of a course.
Revised the objectives and outcomes of each course I handled from then.
Used Backward Design technique to design the syllabus for the new course to be introduced in the department. "Big Data and Data Analytics”
The revised objectives and outcomes along with the planning for the activities will be added shared with the students from coming academic year.
Objectives of the course: Big Data and Data Analytics Ø UnderstandwhatisBigdata, itsevolu:onanditstechnologicalfounda:ons.

Reflections on the module: Dynamic
Class room
The points on CSSF and ITTF were eye opener. Though the questions were trivial responding to
those questions was very tricky.
Recording our own activities was very challenging. Students supported well and did all
the recording and editing part
Conducted the following activities to achieve active learning • Word Antakshari • Brain Storming • Concept test • Think Pair Share
Reflections on the module Effective Assessment
Reading the paper “Designing Tests to Maximize Learning” by Richard M. Felder was very effective, and enlightened me .
The followings points are always remembered and followed by me
• Never surprise the students with new questions in the exams • Solve the paper yourself first and then test the students to check the time
management. • Evaluate the students for what they have written and not for what is missing. • Solve the difficult questions in the class rather than testing them with those. • Students should be aware of the rubrics for your evaluation.

Reflections on the module Collaborative learning
Conducted JIGSAW activity for three courses, Foundations of Data Science, Object Oriented Modeling and Design and Finite Automata and Formal Languages.
The activity was not so successful when I conducted for Foundations of Data Science, because I faced problems in planning, rubrics of evaluation and even in execution.
But when did it as a practicum, it was successful. I got the right number for the team size and planning was good.
Reflections on the module Harnessing the power of technology
I was using the ICT tools before but now the tool is reducing my work and making me smart.
Created a virtual class room through Edmodo.
The resources such as videos, slides and review questions were posted on edmodo.
Conducted flipped class room with the help of the virtual class room
Developed a Faculty development model for our college.
Results of Flipped Class Room
43 students among 60 could answer all the
questions
11 could answer few and
6 students were not prepared for the flipped class room and did not
participate actively
Feedback about the activity • I asked the students
to give a feedback about the activity and 28 students voted
• 27 liked the activity • 1 disliked

Topic: Concept Maps for organizing the Course Delivery in Finite Automata and Formal Languages: An Undergraduate Course
Successfully able to guide UG students to publish papers in national level competition and conference.
Symptoms Based Disease Predictor
Union Budget Analysis Using R
One of the teams stood 2nd for their work.
Contd…..
I have listed all the concepts of the FAFL course and connected them to form a concept map. Based on the concept map, a course delivery plan is developed by organizing the concepts based on its importance and dependencies.
This will impact on the order of the concepts delivered as well as organizing of the concepts in
the minds of the students. Cmap tool used to generate the concept maps.
