Overall, I enjoyed sections. Chiara was engaging and knowledgable, though I felt they could have been more structured at times.My only concern was that I felt that her grading standards didn't match up with those of most teachers I've encountered. Given thewritten comments in my work, I thought the grades should have been slightly higher. Nevertheless, I thought Chiara did a verygood job.

Chiara is great! A kind, intelligent, and great teacher, she was awesome to have in this class. At times, it was difficult to understandher accent, but her remarks and teaching ability is definitely strong.

She is so kind and enthusiastic. I wish we spent less time talking about the facts (ie discussing what certain people were arguing)and more time discussing current events. I also thought she could have given more feedback on essays.

Chiara was always quick to generate enthusiasm for the topics being discussed, and had helpful activities to get our section talkingabout the concepts of that week.

Chiara was very enthusiastic about teaching section and was very committed to her students. She willingly met with students evenoutside her set office hours and cared that you understood the material. However, I think she could have done a better job goingover the readings during section. Sometimes I felt lost during section because she did not do so. Aslo, I wish she would haveprovided more guidance during the paper writing process. While writing my papers, I often felt like I could not really turn to mysection leader for help.

Chiara is a great TF. She was always very supportive, cheerful and helpful. She was always well prepared for section andencouraged us to participate in interesting class discussions about the topics covered in lecture. She also was very helpful inexplaining what each of the authors/theories were about every week.

Chiara is a fabulous section leader. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the material and does a great job facilitating discussionand helping with overall comprehension of the material. She is very accessible and helpful whenever we have individual meetings.

She's very nice and enthusiastic, but sometimes a little difficult to understand. I think that some of the reason section can beunderwhelming is because there's too much reading assigned in the course to cover a solid amount of it, and it's difficult to strike abalance between the kind of discussion section exists to foster and the need to make sure students comprehend the course materialin more basic ways.

Chiara is wonderful - she always made a point of making herself available to us. She always encouraged us to participate insection, with varying levels of success.

I've really enjoyed having Chiara as my TF this semester. I always feel very supported by her both in class and outside class. Iappreciate Chiara's enthusiasm for the course material, but also how she doesn't take it overly seriously.

Chiara is super nice and does a great job generating enthusiasm about such a dry topic. Section could sometimes be all over theplace in terms of discussion, and there could have been a bit more creativity in terms of section plans (more group stuff), butoverall, section was the strongest component of this course.

These sections taught me the material. She got all of us to present some of the week's material, which was essential for absorbingthe material and preparing for essays. She got us very involved in the sections, and I give her full credit for our having absorbedany of the material at all.

I can't say enough great things about Chiara. The section lessons were well-constructed and thoughtful. Chiara came prepared witha deep understanding of the material and facilitated rich and substantive discussions. She was open to everyone's perspective, butalso challenged us to think critically about the material. Outside of class, she was available during office hours and made moretimes available around essay deadlines. She is also just a really nice/fun person, and having her as section leader made this classmore enjoyable.

I have interacted less with Chiara, as she taught the Stata-based version of the class, so I won’t be able to comment extensively andanswer all survey questions, but based on these interactions I would only have positive things to say. She is also very easilyaccessible outside of class, returns assignments in a timely manner, and evidences both positive and negative aspects in your work.She is very kind and at the same time fair to all students. She always sits in our section, and acts as a resource person for our group(e.g., she sometimes looks up a certain piece of information, or provides additional clarifications to students’ questions to makesure they get more complete answers).

grading is a bit arbitrary, but sections are high quality[Evaluate the course overall.: 3 (good)][Evaluate your Section Leader overall.: 3 (good)]

Chiara was the Head TF. She was very good at communicating on an individual level, but seemed disorganized overall, especiallywith the assignments. I think there was also a bit of a lack of communication between teaching staff.

Overall, Chiara is a pretty good TF. She cares about the topic and is knowledgeable. Section was overall an interesting experience.The only change I would really ask for is for there to be more comments on the grades were receive on assignments. Moreimportantly, what is expected of a student to earn a grade, such as what distinguishes an A or an A-. It seemed that getting an A wasvery hard on assignments, and an A- or B+ was much more common.

Although it was sometimes like pulling teeth to get anyone in section to participate, Chiara stuck was determined to teach us, andhear our thoughts, and we are much better for it.

Chiara is very approachable and willing to help students in any way that she is able. She made herself available for office hoursand was prompt to answer questions via email. Although it was sometimes harder to understand her prompts and suggestionsbecause of language barriers, she was overall a wonderful TA. If given the choice, I would elect to have her as a TA again.

Didn't seem to be much point to have her around, especially to sit through every class because she didn't really do anything.

The class size was not too big to begin with, it seemed a little strange that there was an additional teaching assistant

The emails were timely and hugely helpful. She setup meetings frequently with students, was flexible with appointments, andhelped me a lot in generating my paper outline.
