Teaching Elements of Design

This will be a great activity that can be used as a study guide as well because it allows students to define the elements and find a visual that portrays that definition. So this can be complete on regular sheets of white paper or large index cards if you want them to mimic like flash cards. However, if using for the flash card method, put the picture and word on one side of the card and the definition on the other side. This way students can quiz each other on the concepts.

Elements of Design Activity

Using the internet or magazines, students will find pictures that illustrate each of the elements of design listed below. For each picture, write the definition of that element under it. Each element will be worth 20pts each! (Make sure that the design element word is written or typed in big bold letters)
