Track 3 Tidbits Here are our highlights: Theme: Weather Letterland : Xx, Yy, Zz Kindergarten Objectives for 3 rd Quarter: ELA (English, Language Arts) We learned a lot about weather and how it affects what we wear and what we can do. Be sure to ask your child what they learned about weather. Writing : This week the kiddos wrote about weather. We wrote about storms and used descriptive words to visualize the storm. Everyone is becoming more independent in their writing, sounding out words, using the word wall, and correct punctuation. Continue to work on these things at home too. Math : The students made a weather graph and graphed the colors of the rainbow with skittles. Here are our highlights: Theme: Weather Letterland: Xx, Yy, ZzKindergarten Objectives for 3 rd Quarter: ELA (English, Language Arts) We learned a lot about weather and how it affects what we wear and what we can do. We continued our math THINK centers practicing CGI subtraction, adding and subtracting with partners of 10. Science: This week we learned about different types of weather. We used flags to see the wind direction. Studying the clouds was a fun activity that we will continue next week. Ask your child about the types of clouds and what they mean.
