A typical day at TtMadrid

6

9.15 amTrainees begin to arrive at our school in the most exclusive neighborhood in Madrid. They grab a coffee and get ready for the day and fuel up with some fruit, which is available around the school.9.30amThe first workshop of the day begins with grammar, learning about ‘Definite and Indefinite Articles’.10.00amThe next part of the morning explores the best ways to structure an individual class. The students work together to decide on logistics, activities and how to best adapt teaching techniques for just one student.11.15am - 11.30amBreak. Just enough time to get a cup of coffee or tea from the kitchen, chill on the balcony or head downstairs for a quick walk around the block to enjoy the sun!11.30amStudents head back to the training room for an energetic input, ‘Business English’.1.00pmLUNCH! Many students choose to bring lunch and leave it in the fridge and eat with their classmates. While most students will get together and eat in our ‘Chill Out Room’, others often go to the park (that’s just a block away!) in the warmer months. We also have tons of discounts in local restaurants and cafes if you do feel like grabbing something typically Spanish.2.00pm - 3.30pmTrainees head back to learn how best to correct their students’ errors.3.40pm - 6.00pmExcitement and exhilaration fill the school as the trainees head to their FIRST observed teaching practices with real students from Madrid. Once they finish, they have a feedback session with the trainer to see what they did well and how to improve for their next class.

Our accredited TEFL course

Put the theory into practice

Internally and externally moderated Our TEFL course is also accredited by the International Association of TESOL Qualifying Organizations (IATQuO), which means that a globally recognized independent body ensures that we maintain high standards at all times.

During the course you will have six observed teaching practices, where you teach real students from Madrid. Each teaching practice will expose you to a different level and dynamic and you’ll have to prepare it fully so you get to understand how to create lesson plans and the reality of using them in class. One of your trainers will be taking notes during the class on the things you do well and areas to improve, which you’ll be able to go through and discuss after your class. These teaching practices help you feel fully prepared for anything so once you leave TtMadrid, you’ll enter into any classroom with confidence.

Accommodation

Travel insurance

We have an accommodation advisor that will help you to find the perfect place to live during and after your course. There are various options for finding accommodation. We work with numerous agencies, a wealth of websites you can use if you want to do it yourself. The most important part is that whatever you want or need, we will make sure we help you find it at a budget you can afford.

You will need to get travel insurance for your trip. We strongly recommend you research this yourself in order to find the best and cheapest options. This is the company we recommend for you to have a look at: www.worldtrips.com

Best TEFL course in Madrid! Outstanding support from excellent teachers, great materials and opportunity to teach 6 practice classes. This course was lots of hard work and fun - I can’t recommend it highly enough!

- Alex Hart

The course itself was very intensive but presented in such a way that you were always aware of what is expected of you. The teaching practices gave one the opportunity to prepare for real-life teaching. I will recommend TtMadrid to any native or non native English speaking person that wants to do a TEFL certification.
