• This lesson comes during Investigation Number 1, in “Number Games and Story Problems” and mirrors How Many of Each Color, Session 6

• The teacher will gather the students together and show them how to manipulate the objects on the slides in the PowerPoint.

• Students will complete the PowerPoint template by manipulating the pictures and writing down their number sentences.

• The student will do a self-assessment (rubric) and the teacher will grade the student according to the rubric that is provided. The rubric may be printed out, or used within the PowerPoint.
