All Teacher Candidates began on the first report day for teachers in January at their assigned school

COOPERATING TEACHERS
Each Cooperating Teacher will complete at least 2 formal ADEPT observations on APS 4-9 and at least one formal ADEPT observation on APS 1-3, 10.
Each USC Upstate Supervisor will complete at least 4 formal ADEPT observations on APS 4-9 and at least two formal ADEPT observation on APS 1-3, 10.
Each student will have at least 9 formal ADEPT observations at the end of the experience.
Formal Observations by Cooperating Teachers
CT will gain the necessary ADEPT observation forms from their Upstate Supervisor.
CT will complete the observation forms and give those observation forms to the Supervisor before the end of the experience.
Additional observations may be completed during the experience and are available from the Upstate Supervisor.

Remuneration for Cooperating Teachers & Administrators
The reward for working with a teacher candidate is a sense of satisfaction derived from assisting in the preparation of a new member of the teaching profession.
USC UPSTATE also provides remuneration for those individuals in public schools who agree to work with teacher candidates by offering cooperating administrators and cooperating teachers the privilege of taking graduate coursework through the USC UPSTATE or the USC graduate program at a reduced rate of tuition.
Cooperating administrators are eligible to take one graduate course for $15.00 during the two years following their hosting a teacher candidate in their school.
For each teacher candidate supervised in a placement, the cooperating teacher is eligible to take one graduate course for $15.00 during the next two years.
