Position: K-Family Relations CCKiwanis-Family Relations Committee

Key Club has different levels. • The K-Family Chair will be responsible for

establishing and maintaining a relationship between our club and the different levels by attending all of their meetings.

• This may be done through inviting the K-family members to our service projects or setting up visits with the younger members of our K-family to keep them interested in service!

Position: Service CC• This Committee chair will be responsible for

providing our clubs with community service idea and opportunities. Some project examples may include: Canned Food Drive, Ronald McDonald Home, YUDA Bands project, and Teens for Jeans Drive.

• As committee chair, you would find projects such as these and then present them to the board where we would decide how to proceed with the project. For more ideas you may visit the Florida Key Club Website (Floridakeyclub.com/Committees/Service).

Position: Fundraising CCOur club has many great aspirations and to accomplish many of our goals funds are often needed. • As fundraising committee chair you would be

responsible for coming up with ideas and carrying out fundraising projects. An example of a great fundraising project and one we would suggest is holding car washes. You must organize and conduct a car wash every single month.

• You will also be the headperson for our annual Pancake Breakfast; therefore, if you apply for this position, you must have attended our Pancake Breakfast and car washes.

Position: Major Emphasis CC• We primarily raise money for UNICEF through our

annual Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF drive. You would be responsible for organizing this drive and keeping the process running smoothly.

• Another large part of the Major Emphasis Committee is the Eliminate Project! This great project will be over in 2015 so we want to raise as much money as possible.

• If you would like to head this committee please read up on the project and think of fundraising ideas (example: Dress Down Days).

Page 13: Teacher Appreciation Week

Position: Joe DiMaggio CC• This committee chair is in charge of scheduling visits

with the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital every month.

• The chair will then go to the hospital with his/her committee and make crafts with the children! This is a great opportunity for hands on service.

• You can even give each month a theme (example: In March the chair may choose to create flower crafts with the children for the beginning of spring).

Page 14: Teacher Appreciation Week

Position: Children’s Harbor CCThis committee is centered on a foster home in our area called Children’s Harbor. • Being active with Children’s Harbor is another great

hands on committee and can be very rewarding if you are someone who particularly enjoys service relating to children!

• The Chair of this Committee will need to organize events with the foster home including but not limited to: Halloween party (providing the kids with food and drinks) and A Winter Holiday Party.

• Chair must call to local stores (Publix, Costco, Pizza places, etc) to get all donations in order to not spend any money.

Page 15: Teacher Appreciation Week

Position: Advertising CCThe key to truly successful events is advertisement. • The chair of this committee would be responsible for

creating banners, flyers, and other forms of spreading the word concerning upcoming events.

• The Chair would need to attend all board meetings in order to stay up to date on events and make banners whenever needed.

• This is a great committee to chair if you are organized, creative, and committed!
