Teachable Point of View - Teachable Point of View - Leadership Leadership Ultimately, leadership starts with your inner voice. Ask it “What is really important to me? How do I want to live my life? What gives passion, meaning and purpose to my life? Once you’ve identified, what’s important to you…lead from that place using your core values as a guide. Leadership is authentic influence that creates value. Each of us is called to lead by authentically connecting our own life experiences, values and talents to the special circumstances we face. Leadership is not so much about technique and methods as it is about opening the heart; it is about human experiences, not processes.

Ultimately, leadership starts with your inner voice.

Leadership is not a formula or a program, it is a human activity that comes from the heart and considers the hearts of others. Leadership is an attitude, not a routine.

Just as important to leadership is to know when leadership must end. This may sound contradictory, but experience has taught me that the best results don’t necessarily come not from what you make happen, but from what you LET happen. Quite often, people will exceed your high expectations through their own personal insights and values. You must know when to let go.
