Padlet
An online ‘virtual board’ to collaborate in collecting ideas, thought expressing, brainstorming, opinion gathering, content sharing, viewing understandings, displaying information, and more
Padlet is free. There are paid plans for schools and businesses.
Teacher (to create Padlet): You need to ‘Sign up’ and then logged into your Padlet’s account. Student(s): You do not need to ‘Sign up’ or ‘Log in’ in order to add content
1. Go to https://padlet.com/

6. Select the privacy setting; private, password protected, secret and public(Default setting is “Secret” and “Can Write”- usually don’t need to change it)
7. In order to share created Padlet among yourcircle (of students, colleagues, stakeholders,etc.), you can modify randomly-and-auto-generated URL to more thematic and copy-paste/share among your networks.
In our case, manually modified URL is www.padlet.com/hassan_mpk/gced
In order to collaborate, participants do not need to ‘Sign up’ or ‘Sign in’ and start adding/editing content right away.

8. Your padlet is ready. Click on “START POSTING”
9. Click anywhere on the pane (empty area) and you can post your Padlet [postingsupports (almost) every file type; video, audia, image, uploading from local computer,web links, etc.]

1. There is no need to register/ sign‐up.2. To create a mindmap:
a. Start with the ‘core’ node in the centre. Type the main topic of your mindmap.b. Go to the toolbox at the right side of the screen. Check what each button does by hovering on icon.c. For each node that you have, you can add a sibling (same level) or a child (one level down).
i. Click the ‘Add child’ button. Type a sub‐topic A.ii. Click the ‘Insert sibling’ button. Type a sub‐topic B.iii. You may continue adding a child or inserting a sibling, depending on your group’s discussion.
d. You may move a node around by dragging and dropping this within the mindmap. You can even changelevels from child to parent, sibling to child, etc.
e. You may use the shortcut menu for easier access to tools.f. See sample below.
3. To save your mindmap:a. Go to File > Save As (or Save if file is already existing). Since you do not have a stand‐alone Mindmup app in
your device, save your file to Google Drive. Mindmup will save your file using the text in your core node. (Ifyou wish to edit or view your file, open it via your Google Drive.)
b. You may also export the file as pdf. It will open in a separate browser tab. You may then save your file toyour computer / local disk.
c. You may also share your file via Google Drive or print it as a hard copy.

1. Check out the sample popplet done in a aclass.2. To learn how to use Popplet, start with a demo. Click on the link to the demo site to see how it is used.3. Sign‐up with Popplet. If you already have an account, log‐in to Popplet using your email address and password.
Popplet opens up your dashboard. You may view sample popplets or make your own.4. To make your own popplet:
a. Click on the ‘Make new popplet’ button. Give it a name and pick a title colour.b. Double click on the space to create a popple. Start with the ‘core’ popple in the centre. Type the main topic
of your mindmap. You can change the popple box colour, font size, create a drawing, or upload an image orfile using the popple tools.
c. Click and drag a popple connector to create a new popple – this will be treated as a ‘child’. Edit as you wish.d. Move a popple by dragging and dropping it within the working area.e. You may delete a popple by clicking on the x icon in the popple itself.f. Repeat the process until you finish the mindmap. You may use the ‘View All’ button or zoom slider to
manipulate your screen view.5. Save your popplet by clicking on the Settings button (wheel) and selecting Save. This will be saved in your account
and will be accessible through your dashboard. You can also export your popplet as an image or a pdf file.6. To convert your popplet into a presentation, click on the Settings button and choose View > Presentation Mode. You
will be able to ‘record’ your presentation by clicking the popples according to the order of your presentation. Clickthe Play button to test it.
7. You can see that your name is indicated in the popple/s which you create. You can invite other people to collaborateon your popplet for a common mindmap output. Do this by clicking the Share button on the upper‐right‐hand side ofthe screen.

1. You can create a poster without signing up.a. The advantage of signing up / logging in with FB is that you can save and access your work from the cloud
storage. Also, you have other layout options like photo collage, calendar, and card, using your Facebookphotos.
b. If you do decide to sign‐up/log‐in, you will see your posters under “My Stuff”.2. To create a poster:
a. Click the Start a Project button, choose Poster from the pull‐down menu. You may explore the other layoutoptions on your own.
b. You have the option to choose from existing templates or using a blank canvas.c. A selected template provides you with objects that you may edit, move, or even delete.d. To edit an object, just click on the object placeholder – i.e. the box that surrounds a particular object.
Editing is very similar to how objects are edited in Writer or Impress. Just manipulate the different controlsavailable in the right context toolbar. Be sure to give your poster a Title.
e. The icons on the left allow you to add other objects to the poster, such as photos, text, clipart, andbackground. These tools will be used a lot if you choose to work with a blank canvas.
3. To save, share, or download:a. Just click on the appropriate button and follow the instructions.b. Saving will save to your account. If you wish to save on your storage, select Download.

1. You can create a storyboard without signing up.a. The advantage of signing up / logging in with FB is that you can save and access your work from the cloud
storage. The free account has a number of limitations – check the Pricing tab for information.b. If you do decide to sign‐up/log‐in, you will see your storyboards under “My Account”.c. For new users, you can view the Getting Started tutorial video that automatically pops up upon log‐in.
2. To create a storyboard:a. Click the Create a Storyboard button. NOTE: DO NOT click any purchase options. Use the free version.b. You may explore the other layout options on your own. You can also add cells, change cell size, move cells,
etc.c. For each cell:
i. you may add scenes, characters, texts, and shapes from the available selection by dragging yourpreference to the cell
ii. you can manipulate each object – zoom/ enlarge, crop, move, re‐color, etc by clicking on theappropriate button; just make sure that your strip is for one scene
d. Proceed to the next cell until you complete the strip.e. Remember to save your work regularly (click the Save button at the bottom toolbar).
3. To save, share, or download:a. Upon saving, just click on the appropriate button and follow the instructions to print, download, or play as a
slideshow. Explore the options on your own.b. Saving will save to your account. If you wish to save on your storage, select Download.

4 To build your movie:a. Drag media objects from your library to the main track and place these in the timeline.b. Select Graphics and Audio clips (music) from those freely available in WeVideo and drag
items on to your timeline.
5 Go to the timeline to edit the media objects you selected:a. To re‐arrange media objects: drag/ move these to your preferred orderb. To adjust the length each media object is shown: adjust the specific object’s side bordersc. To add transitions: click on the Transitions icon in the toolbar and drag your selected
transition to the specific location in the timelined. To add a Title and End slide: click on the Text button in the menu bar
6 Click on the play button in the viewing pane to watch a preview of your video
7 To save your video to your WeVideo account, click the Finish button at the top of the app. Youmay opt to upload your video to Vimeo, Youtube, Dropbox, Facebook, etc. Explore these options on your own.
a. You may set your video asPrivate or Public, dependingon your preference.
b. Once your video ispublished, you may view itin the window. You may alsodownload your movie toyour storage device at this point.
