Features OASE ® antifoam A is based upon a blend of silica derivatives and silicon compounds. Appearance: opaque, off-white liquid Specific gravity: 1.02 Solubility: insoluble in water. Dispersable in surfactant containing systems Viscosity: max. 2500 mPas (Brookfield RVT # 3, 50 rpm, 25°C) Feeding The amount required to maintain control will depend primarily on the degree of degradation, level of particular matter, the presence of hydrocarbon or other contaminants and the parameters of the system. In general the main- tenance requirement is between 0.2 and 2.0 ppm to the recirculation solution. OASE ® antifoam A can be diluted with isopropyl alcohol (I.P.A.) in a ratio 1:1 or further to 3:1. Handling precautions Wear suitable protections gloves and eye/face protection. In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable respiratory equipment.
