Installing/Configuring CSDAT Integration for TDO
Objective
TDO now supports integration with Carestream’s CSDAT which will provide a much
better integration experience for our users.
The new integration supports new features such as being able to take multiple xrays and
having direct access to Carestream’s post processing tools.
Prerequisites
- TDO version 11.250a or newer is installed
- CareStreamIntegration.dll version 1.0.0.4 or newer
- Downloaded latest SetupRVGDriver.exe
- Downloaded latest SetupCSDAT.exe
* CareStreamIntegration.dll is located in C:\Program Files\tdoffice\dotnet folder
*Latest file can be found in U:\TDO Fixes\Kodak Files\Carestream Integration

Acquiring X-rays for CSDAT
1. In TDO go to acquire, select an image category, and click on XRay. We no
longer require sensor activation through TDO. You should be met with the
familiar count down window.

9
2. Once they expose the sensor the image will go into the new TDO Image
Processing window:
A: Gives the user the ability to have the image auto rotate or apply sharpness filter
B: The user can adjust the brightness/contrast to their liking. The values will be stored
and applied to all images from this point on.
C: Toggles the sharpness filter on and off
3. The user now has an option to either acquire another image by clicking on New
RVG or edit an image.
4. Once they are happy with the image, click the “Send to TDO” and it will
automatically save to the patients Image Organizer as the category that was
selected.

Objective (OLD TDOKodak6000.exe)
Congratulations on your new Kodak purchase! This document presents
the full installation and integration of RVG6000 Kodak x-ray sensor and
TDO.
Follow the next 3 steps:
SetupKodak.exe
RVG6000 drive installation and
TDO Settings
1 SetupKodak.exe
Make sure to unplug the RVG6X00 sensor during this step. And also,
beforehand check the MS and Office’s updates! Do not install Kodak RVG
sensor if you don’t have these items correctly installed!
Beware that Trophy v5.0.5.0 is incompatible with RVG6000. Please, uninstall
it before continuing this installation!
Download “SetupKodak.exe” from the TDO Builds ftp server. Run it.

PS: NEVER CHECK THIS CHECKBOX “Demo mode”!!!!

Windows will install it twice, because of 5000 series.

15
And then finally:
*** If for whatever reason Windows cannot find the drivers. You can
manually point to where the drivers reside which is in:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Trophy\Acquisition
Or if a 64bit workstation

3 TDO Settings
In TDO, open Administrative Edit Control Table Workstation Settings.
Select “Kodak 6000 Series” in Radiography Software. Note that
Path/Source is set as “C:\Program Files\TDOffice\Kodak” or if the
workstation is 64 bit, the path would be: “C:\Program Files
(x86)\Tdoffice\Kodak”

17
Note the “Use old Kodak sharpness filter” option. If this is checked, the
next xray acquired by Kodak 6000 series will have the old sharpness filter.
Close it.
Open “Acquire”
And hit “X-Ray” button. For the very first time only, the RVG6000 needs to
be registered. Therefore, you will be prompted with this message box:

18
Once registered, hit ‘x-ray’ button again and it is ready to take an x-ray.
6/26/2013
19
Once the x-ray is taken, apply the filters, if necessary, and then click on
“Send to TDO” button.
On the other hand, when cancelling the x-ray, this is the message:
For multiple xrays, the device button can be useful: open xrays in TDO,
and it will automatically be waiting for the first xray. Once it has been
taken, click on the device button to take the next one, without the need
to click on the xray button again in TDO.

4 Troubleshooting
4.1 Trophy
Beware that some Trophy software versions do not provide the “uninstall”
feature. Delete them only will not allow TDO acquires x-rays.
Solution: rename the folder “TW” to “TW-bak” and reboot the computer.
Also check the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TROPHY\RVG that should be
something like this:
4.2 USB 1.1
Kodak sensor only runs on USB 2.0.
Solution: their IT team has to change to USB2.0.
4.3 Multiple Kodak sensors
Kodak driver does support only ONE sensor connected into the computer.
If, two or more sensors are connected into the same computer, TDO
keeps requesting the activation code.
Solution: Do NOT connect two or more sensors into the same computer.
“Acquire” must be closed before unplugging/plugging a different sensor.

21
4.4 Error Trophy CCX Timer
If while installing Kodak sensor, the “Check to enable synchronization link”
checkbox is marked, then x-ray will not be acquired.
Solution: set HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TROPHY\RVG\Synchro from zero to 2.
Open Demo_GIPSDK.exe and run Load GIP Toolkit menu option. Then
run RVG Open the driver menu option and RVG Acquisition menu
option. Check that it successfully acquired an image. Rename
Demo_GIPSDK.exe and restart TDO. Check that now TDO is able to
acquire successfully.
4.5 Kodak sporadically gets disconnected
If Kodak sensor gets disconnected, it could be caused by the power
management that sets the USB to sleep mode. It is not possible to
determine the exact USB Root Hub Kodak sensor is connected. Therefore,
the solution must be applied for ALL USB Root Hub.
Solution: From the “Device Manager”, for each USB Root Hub, uncheck
the option “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” in
Power Management tab, as shown below:

4.6 First time Driver Installation
When installing the drivers for the very first time, you might receive an error
message in TDO that the sensor is not connected. Usually this message is
displayed after a “Initializing Sensor” message is displayed. If this happens,
just let the TDOKodak9000 windows close normally and click on TDO
Acquire XRay button again and everything will work properly.
