Analysis of motoric abilities as a basis for workouts
back-check® 607
The Topical Diagnostics-Unit
The Back-check® 607 is a multi-functional system for the testing and measurement of the strength of various muscle groups, and in particular those of the back. Measurements are conducted in an upright position, a habitual posture.
Under these everyday life-mirroring circumstances, the following parameters are collected:
Strength of the cervical spine musculature
· extensors, Flexors, (pic. above)
· Lateral flexion ri./le. (pic. 1)
Trunk musculature
· extensors (pic. 2a) Flexors (pic. 2b)
· Lateral flexion ri./le. (pic. above)
Upper Torso
· Push (pic. 3)
· Pull of upper torso (pic. 3)

Further measurements in the upper and lower extremities are possible.

Reference Levels and Test Evaluation – Data Transmission via Chip
The customer-oriented documentation of measurement results and training progression is a basis for effective health training. The Back-check®-software identifies and quantifies existing muscular deficiencies and disbalances. The refe- rence levels secure a consistent and reliable evaluation of the muscular status of a test person. based on these results, the trainer defines the training measures.
The Back-check® 607 software guarantees a high quality standard and a training management on an extraordinary high level.

Scientific foundations
The scientifi c foundations for the Back-check® were esta-blished with support from the institute for prevention and aftertreatment (IPn). In the course of a study the sports scientists collected reference data for torso-fl exion and -extension. a compilation of the crucial results: a correla-tion between extensors and fl exors exists. Torso extensors appear to be stronger than fl exors during the course of recovery. back patients are characterized by a signifi cantly lower maximum strength of the back-extensors compared to back-healthy persons. after a therapy period of fi ve to ten workout units, signifi cantly higher strength levels of the back musculature were identifi ed.

Software
after the comfortable data transmission via chip card follows the software-aided test evaluation and customer-oriented documentation of the test results. The conceived reference data allows a secured assessment of the leg strength. The progress of rehabilitation measures and training interventions can be assessed through repeated measurements. They serve the training-controlling and secure quality as well as high-class training management.

Leg-check 626
Isometric measurement of maximum strength at the point of strength impact
The innovative leg press Leg-check 626 allows for an exact measurement of the leg strength in a two-legged, side-independent mode. Two separately arranged foot plates are equipped with an accordingly loadable mea-surement technology.
The forces are captured directly and precisely at the point of the actual strength impact. The integrated display unit presents the compiled data on a state-of-the-art touch screen. The computer saves the data on a chip – a convenient transmission path to the evaluation software.
Dynamic Measurement
In this additional function the Leg-check 626 measures the maximum strength for every leg in the movement under sub-maximal training intensity. Through this set-up the controller assesses whether the test person uses the right and left leg in the movement with the same intensity.

The squat under control of the leg axis
The correctly executed squat is one of the more demanding coor-dinative strength exercises. The Medi-Squat-Trainer 776 signifi-cantly facilitates the learning of this important exercise.
a height-adjustable seat defines the starting position, serves as movement-limiting element during the exercise and provides security. a knee rest in the anterior part of the machine limits the evasion of the knee beyond the toes.
Width-adjustable abduction cushions secure the leg axis during the movement. These are equipped with sensors. as soon as the trainee does not stress the abduction cushions with sufficient leg abduction anymore, a red control lamp flashes.

Training and testing of the posture stability
The software-coordinated measurement technology sensi-tively assesses the coordination skills, the posture stability and imbalances. This constitutes a sensible addition for the analysis and controlling of the back- and health training.
The mobile therapy-sensor gives broad opportunities for an increased usage in the neuro- and physical rehabilitation as well as in the ergo therapy.
