Babrala plant is the most energy efficient urea plant in India; 4% market share by capacity

Haldia plant making phosphates is highly dependent on imports for feedstock

Backward integration with JV stake in IMACID, Morocco for manufacture/ supply of phosphoric acid

Going forward, Haldia plant moving from production of DAP to margin accretive complexes such as NPK 10, 12 & 20

Increasing volumes on traded bulk (e.g. DAP imports) - Trading margins thin, but help with additional profits, improved brand equity and higher sale of non-bulk such as specialty, seed & pesticides

Since inception, Innovation Centre (IC) has played a pivotal role in incubating three of TCL’s relatively nascent product lines: Water Purifiers (WaPu), Food Ingredients and Nano-Formulations respectively

Recently, an Incubation Cell has been developed under IC for testing of new business models/ disruptive technologies

IC also providing case to case support to execute projects with TCL business units and Tata Group companies such as Rallis, TGBL, Tata Coffee, Tata Power and Tata Steel
