About host organization EGEA Moldova - Association of Geography and Ethnology of Moldova is a youth non-governmental organization at the national level founded in 1998, affiliated also to the European Geography Association for youth and students which was founded in 1988 and act as a network of youth organizations through all the Europe. EGEA Moldova have a wide range of activities and goals as promotion of intercultural learning and understanding of different cultural values, informing youth people and society about the geographical and ethnic diversity of the Europe, as a heritage and values for all humanity, connecting of youth from Moldova with the programs and activities in Europe, by organizing exchanges, youth programs, scientific, cultural and social activities.

About the project Volunteering is a great way to take part in activities that happen in community, to achieve personal goals and have more competences. The main purpose and goal of the organizers of this training course is to bring the values and benefits that volunteering offers to the youngsters of the partner organizations involved in this training. The social capital generated by volunteering plays a key role in economic regeneration of any society. Volunteering often is a foundation for a long-term, sustainable solution of the challenge the community faces. The project will have participants from 14 counties and will take place in Vodul lui Voda, Chisinau, Moldova from 22nd to 30th March 2014

Participants should arrive in hotel of the project on 22th of March and departure day from hotel will be on 30th of March. The organizers will reimburse 70% of your travel costs from your home city to the pick-up point (or venue) in Moldova and way back. Participants have no age limit / minimum age 18.

• Reimbursement of travel costs will only be done upon full attendance of the activity and presentation of the original tickets with boarding passes and receipt/invoices. Any proposals of making the staying shorter or longer should be consulted with organizers (if you come only 2 days earlier and stay 2 days more, then you do not need to consult with organizers, but you will need to find a place to sleep on your own!)

•  The reimbursement will be done during the training course. Reimbursement will be done in EURO, regardless of the currency indicated on your ticket and receipt/invoice.

•  !!! Note: Please note if you bought your ticket in your local currency which might be different than EURO, we will calculate your travel costs according to the exchange rates from official European Commission web-site for the month of ticket purchase .

By this link http://www.airport.md/airlines-en/ you can find airlines that fly to Chisinau. You can start by using www.skyscanner.net or http://www.flypgs.com/en/default.aspx for information what are possible cheap flights to Chisinau (capital of Moldova). Please choose the cheapest possible option. ! Please buy the plane tickets from official webpages of airline companies. By train Much cheaper than flying, but about twice the cost of the bus (but arguably more comfortable) the overnight train may be considered a valid option. There are daily trains from Romania and Ukraine. The train from Bucharest is about US$40.

By car You will have to pay a small (2 euro for 7 days) road tax (vignette) at the border. Headlights are required at all times.

By bus There are regular buses connecting Chişinău with Bucharest, Kiev and most major Romanian and Ukrainian cities. There are 5 to 6 buses per day to and from Bucharest. Due to a longer stay at the border the trip takes around 10 hours. Be aware that there is a basic toilet at the border, however most coaches do not make any other stops. You will also be able to travel to most European cities by bus with Moldovan bus companies. Project will take place in Vadul lui Voda, Chisinau, Moldova. Vadul lui Vodă is a town in the Chişinău municipality, Moldova. It is an eastern suburb of the capital of the country, and is well known as a resort. The town is situated 23 km east of Chişinău on the right (western) bank of the Dniester river.

We would like to ask you to bring your traditional food and drinks for Intercultural evening. You will have a chance to present your country and if you like to use video for presentation please download it before.
