Safety Precautions The instruction manual and the labels affixed to the products or equipment give important information for using products safely. It helps prevent damage to properties and hazard to people who use them or work with them. Make yourself familiar with the signal words and signs in this page, then read the safety precautions that follow and always follow the instructions to avoid hazards. Explanation of signal words Signal word is a word that designates a degree or level of hazard seriousness. The words WARNING and CAUTION are used for the products.

WARNING Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which could result in death or serious injury, if you do not follow the instructions.

CAUTION Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which may result in minor or moderate injury and/or property damage, if you do not follow the instructions.

Hazard alert shapes and symbols Following shapes and symbols are used in the safety precaution labels affixed to the products and in other places including operation manuals for giving safety instructions.

Filled circle means "Mandatory Action" or "Do as indicated." Required action is shown in the circle or described near the circle.

Circle band with a diagonal slash means "Prohibition" or " You must not do." Prohibited action is shown in the circle or described near the circle.

Triangle means "Hazard Alerting" or "Be alert against hazard." The kind of hazard is shown in the triangle or described near the triangle.

Exclamation point with a triangle is a safety alert symbol which indicates a potential hazard. It is used with a Signal Word.

Square or rectangle means "Information Messages" or "Notice."

Important precautions for system operation System fault or data loss may occur in the event of power outage whether it is external or internal of the system. Take precautions in advance to protect the system in order to prevent such event to take place. Also back up your data regularly to minimize the possible damage by loss of data as a result of such event. Confirmation of product safety label Confirm that product safety labels are put on the front panel of the power supply module. If the label is lost or soiled, inform TOSHIBA Corporation.

Introduction This manual explains how to use OPC Server for TC-net 100 and TC-net 1G*1. First, read "Safety Precautions" carefully to use this device safely and correctly. After you read this manual, keep it in a place where you can find it easily when you need it.

1. Outline of OPC Server TC-net OPC Server is the local / remote server for OPC Data Access 2.05a /3.0 on Windows system.

It provides the environments in order to access scan memories of TC-net from OPC clients. This chapter describes the outline, the movement environment and the construction of OPC Server.

1.1. Outline of OPC Server OPC is open connectivity in industrial automation and the enterprise systems that support industry. By using OPC, the application can access it without being conscious of the style of process data. In addition, OPC succeeds to the client / server model based on OLE/COM technology of Microsoft. It is not necessary for the OPC client to understand the access methods about the physics device by this. A client can have access to an OPC server of the different vender by means same by using standardized specifications (interface).

This OPC Server supports the following OPC interfaces.

◆ DA2.05a (Data Access 2.05a)

◆ DA3.0 (Data Access 3.0)

1.3. Constitution The constitution of OPC Server is described below.

OPC Client This is OPC Client Application. It can have access to OPC Server from local side or remote side.

OPC Server Setting Tool This is an engineering tool to configure system of OPC Server. OPC Server Function This is the original functions of OPC Server. Tool I/F Function This is the function which communicates between OPC Server Setting tool and

OPC Server. OPC Setting files These are the information files downloaded from OPC Server Setting Tool. Dual Management This is the function which manages dual OPC Servers. TC-net Access Function This is the function which manages TC-net and reads and writes scan data. Log Save Tool (*1) This is the function to store an OPC server-related log file for a long time. 1.4. Specifications The specifications of functions for data access of TC-net scan memory are described below.

Access Method Description Read Synchronous read Reads the scan memory data corresponding to an item.

Waits until reading is completed. Asynchronous read Reads the scan memory data corresponding to an item.

Returns to the original state immediately after a request, and calls the method on the OPC client side when reading is completed.

Data change notification (Subscription)

Checks periodically and reports to the OPC client of changes of scan memory data of a Certain width or greater.

Write Synchronous write Writes to the scan memory data. Waits until writing is completed.

Asynchronous write Writes to the scan memory data. Returns to the original state immediately after a request, and calls the method on the OPC client side when writing is completed.

Important:

No special security is set for writing to the scan memory of TC-net.

Therefor you must write from OPC Server in consideration of influence on system.

2. Setting-Up OPC Server This chapter describes installation, maintenance and uninstall of OPC Server.

2.1. Installation There are the following three types of installation.

(1) Both Install OPC Server and environments to develop OPC Client.

(2) Client Install environments to develop OPC Client only.

(3) Server Install OPC Server only.

These types are selected at the time of installing.

When you install to PC for OPC Server, you must select “Both” or “Server”. When you install to PC for only OPC Client, you must select “Client”.

Install OPC Server from CD. Proceed as shown below.

<1>Launch “Setup.exe” under in CD. Input Serial numbers and click <Run>.

Important:

TC-net OPC Server needs “TC-net PCI Bus Support Software”. Before installing TC-net OPC Server, pelease install “TC-net PCI Bus Support Software”.

Important:

"Microsoft.Net Framework version 2.0" are necessary for execution environment of a Log Save Tool. Install it according to "9.2.1 Installing Microsoft.Net Framework 2.0".

<2>Select “TC-net OPC Server SATOPCSA VXX.XX” and click <Install>. (VXX.XX is the version.)

<3> Click <Next>.

<4>“Licensing Agreement” is displayed. If you agree, click <Yes>.

<5>Select Install folder. Normally it is “C:\Program Files\Toshiba\TC_net OPC Server”. If you change it, click <Browse…> After setting, click <Next>. In case of the 64 bits version OS, select Install folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Toshiba\TC_net OPC Server".

<6>Select type of installation. Click < Next >.

<7>Select TC-net100(JTNI) or TC-net1G(JTGI) Card Type. Click < Next >.

When installation type that selected "Both" or

"Server" in <6>, this dialog is displayed.

* : This dialog added in V01.60

<8>Program group name is specified. Default is [TC-net OPC Server]. Don’t change this. Click < Next >.

<9>An inquiry doing DCOM setting is displayed. When set it automatically, Click < Yes >. When set a manual operation later, Click < No >. A displayed message changes by the installation type that selected in <6>. About contents of setting, please refer to "3.1. DCOM Setting ".

<10> DCOM setting is completed. Click < OK >.

<11>When installation type that selected "Both" or "Server" in <6>, an inquiry starting Log Save Tool processing automatically is displayed.

<12>Installation is completed. Click <Finish>.

2.2. Maintenance There are the modification (the change of the installation type) and the revision (a reinstallation and version up) for maintenance.

Important:

Disconnect from the clients before modifying or repairing.

2.2.1. Modify

The way to change installation type is described below.

<1>Launch “Setup.exe” under in CD. Input Serial numbers and click <Run>.

2.2.2. Repair

The way to reinstall or version-up is described below.

Important:

When TC-net OPC Server and Log Save Tool is running, you must stop it.

2.3. Uninstallation

Important:

When TC-net OPC Server and Log Save Tool is running, you must stop it.

Refer to “4.2 Close OPC Server”.

Important:

When a file of extension of BAK and ORG can be left, after uninstallation, you open Explorer, and

delete it by manual operation.

Important:

Disconnect from the clients before uninstalling.

3. How to set the environments for connecting with OPC

The OPC server and OPC clients access data via a network to communicate each other. To realize this, some environment settings are required. This section describes how to set the environment settings. When OPC Server and OPC Clients runs on one PC, these setting are unnecessary.

Important:

If you would not like to lower security level, logon with the same user name and the same password

in OPC Server and OPC Client.

We recommend you that user name of OPC Server and one of OPC Client is same.

Tip:

If OPC Clients can’t connect to OPC Server, you may delete “Internet Protocol Version 6

(TCP/IPv6)” in Network Protocols on Network Connections .

3.1. DCOM Setting When did DCOM setting at the time of installation, this setting is unnecessary. The dcomcnfg command is a command to make the security setting to execute OPC communications through the computer network.

This setting must be done in both PCs for OPC Server and OPC Clients.

3.2. Security Setting Logon to Windows XP Professional or later from other computers is done as a Guest user. In addition, logon to Windows XP Professional from users without a password is not allowed.

Therefore, to make a remote connection to OPC server, the above security setting must be changed.

How to change the setting is as follows.

To change the setting, it is necessary to log on as a user with Administrator privilege.

Important:

Windows XP or later has an internal security function to prevent an intruder break-in. This is done by

limiting the user who accesses a computer through the network as a [Guest] level. When an intruder

tries to enter a computer without privilege by guessing a password to get the privilege, either he fails

or he can obtain only an access level of limited [Guest] level.

However, the above setting changes the internal security of Windows XP or later and this setting

change results in a conventional Windows level security.

Be careful about the operating environment of a machine where OPC server is installed.

3.3. Windows Firewall Windows XP Service Pack2 or later provides better protection against viruses, hackers, and worms, and includes Windows Firewall, Pop-up Blocker for Internet Explorer, and the new Windows Security Center.

There are two functions that have direct influence on the function of OPC which uses DCOM.

One is an addition of new properties for DCOM and the other is that Windows Firewall is turned on by default.

To change the setting, it is necessary to log on as a user with Administrator privilege.

3.4. User Account Control (Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 only)

User account control (UAC; User Account Control) is one of the security technology introduced in Windows Vista and this is going to let you use Windows in a normal user. When you use PC for OPC Server, it is necessary to invalidate this setting. The user account control becomes by default effective. It is necessary to log on to a change in a user having an Administrator special privilege. How to change the user account control is described below.

4. Launch / Close OPC Server 4.1 Launch OPC Server This paragraph describes how to launch OPC Sever.

After installing OPC Server, “Start OPC Server” is registered in [Startup]. OPC Server runs automatically when system starts.

If you don’t want to launch OPC Server automatically, remove it from [Startup].

At this time, you should launch OPC server manually.

4.1.1. On Windows 8.1/Windows Server 2012 R2

You can remove ‘Start OPC Server’ from <Startup> as below. (Windows 8.1 only)

Open Task Manager and select the <Startup> tab.

Select ‘OPC Server Dual Manager’ and click <Disable> button.

5.2 Dual state management

The states of OPC Server are described below.

1) INIT : Initializing

2) PRE-ONLINE: Wait for online (The talker is none.)

3) ONLINE: Reading scan data. The talker is only own node’s.

4) BACKUP: Reading scan data. The talkers are own node’s and parent node’s.

5) STANDBY: Reading scan data. The talker is none. It is impossible to write the scan data.

6) STANDBY-LOCK: STANDBY state and locking

7) DOWN: Node down

Normally, the states of all nodes are “ONLINE” but when the system detects an error, the state of abnormal node becomes “STANDBY”. On “STANDBY” state, it is possible to read scan data normally but impossible to write it.

When the parent node and the child node are “ONLINE”, if the state of the parent node becomes “STANDBY”, one of the own node becomes “BACKUP”. On “BACKUP” state, it is possible to read scan data normally and the talker blocks of the parent node are added to own.

At this time, OPC Clients must request the own node to write scan data..

(OPC Clients mustn’t request the parent node.)

7.1 How to set the environment for OPC Server

This diagram indicates how to change the environment for OPC Server. This environment is set in “TCnetOPCSvr.ini” file under the folder which the TC-net100 OPC Server program is installed in. (Default: C:\Program Files\Toshiba\TC_net OPC Server).

When you want to change it, you need to open this file by notepad or other tools and edit it.

The content of this file “TCnetOPCSvr.ini” is as below.

If you want to change the Port No. which the transmission between OPC Server and OPC Server tool uses, you change “PortNo” parameter in “TCnetOPCSvr.ini.” file.

Set the simulation mode

If you want to use the function of OPC Server when your pc doesn’t have “TC-net PCI Bus card” (JTNI/JTGI series), you set the simulation mode.

But you need the TC-net 100/1G PCI Bus Card Support Software.

Important:

You can set the simulation mode only when you test OPC Server or OPC Client.

When the system runs actually, you must recover this content.

(1) How to set

You change “DebugMode” parameter in “TCnetOPCSvr.ini.” file.

As the history indicates like (*1), you wait that the dual state has moved to “PRE_ONLINE”, “ONLINE” or “BACKUP” after it connected OPC Server.

(3) Change the diagnosis states

In the “TC-net OPC Server Dual Manager” dialog, the content of (*2) indicates the following state.

JTNI/JTGI UnHealthy (Status) …The status of JTNI/JTGI is Unhealthy Client UnHealthy (Status) …The status of OPC Client is Unhealthy Talker Block Used (Status) … Talkers of self node are duplicate or not

By setting ON in the check box (*3), you can change the state shown in (*2).

JTNI/JTGI Healthy …Make JTNI/JTGI Healthy. No Check Client UnHealthy…Not check OPC Client’s healthy. No Check Talker Block Used … Not check whether or not Talkers of self node are duplicate. (**1)

You set ON or OFF to the check box in (*3) and set OFF to all items in (*2). You can make the dual state move to “ONLINE”. (**1)It may take several seconds. (About 20 seconds)

(4) Change the TC-net node address

The initial value of TC-net node address is “2” as (*4) indicates. When you need to change the node address, you can change it in (*5).

(5) Change the dual state

By the operation (*6), you can make the dual state move to other states forcedly or reset it.

(6) Change a healthy state of scan data

Click “TC-net Control/Scan Task” icon in the task bar.

The following dialog is shown. By setting ON or OFF in the check box (*7), you can change a healthy state of scan data.

(7) The simulation output of TC-net items and OPC items

Action in a simulation mode of TC-net items and OPC items are described below. Simulation data are classified as follows.

R(Sim)/W : Simulation data begin to be read. Start increment of Simulation data when OPC Client write in 1. Stop increment of Simulation data when OPC Client write in 0.

R/W(Sim) : When OPC Client write in even once. That value begins to be read. A value using by “TC-net OPC Server Dual Manager” is not changed.

When remove a simulation mode, you must restart OPC Server.

Set Log Output of JTNI/JTGI Scan Memory Acccess Performance

When the number of the access words in one block is more than the prescribed value (default : 5), the reading process the scan memory of TC-net 100 PCI Bus Card (JTNI PCI Card) has access to one block data without doing it by word unit. In addition, the reading process the scan memory of a TC-net 100 PCI Express Bus Card (JTNI PCI Express Card) and TC-net 1G PCI Bus Card (JTGI) always does access by a block unit.

You set a parameter to be able to read data (scan memory access performance value) which serve as a reference when you coordinate this prescribed value.

You change “PerformanceLog” parameter in “TCnetOPCSvr.ini” file.

When you change the prescribed value of the maximum block number of JTNI (PCI Express Card) and JTGI, you change “MaxDmaBlockNum” parameter in “TCnetOPCSvr.ini” file.

Change of diagnosis time of each task of an OPC server

When you change diagnosis time of each task (TCnetOPCSvr.exe, OpcDualMng.exe, TCnetScanCtrl.exe, OpcToolIfSvr.exe) of an OPC server, you change “HealthyCheckCycle” parameter in “TCnetOPCSvr.ini” file. A prescribed value is five seconds. When set 0, each task of OPC server do not check it.

Change of enable or disable of power supply monitor function of own station

In the case of TC-net100(JTNI PCI Express Card) and TC-net1G(JTGI), there is a power supply monitor function of own station. When you change to disable to this function, you change "PowerMonitorEnable" parameter in "TCnetOPCSvr.ini" file. The details please refer chapter 10 RAS functions.

Setting of time adjusting interval with TC-net

In the case of TC-net100(JTNI PCI Express Card) and TC-net1G(JTGI), there is a function to adjust the date/time of OPC server at the date/time of a TC-net system. When you change to enable to this function, you change "TimeAdjustInterval" parameter in "TCnetOPCSvr.ini" file. The details please refer chapter 7.3 Time adjusting function with TC-net.

[General] : TimeAdjustInterval=00:00 --- 00:00 : Disable

Specify an execution interval of time adjusting in 1-30 minutes or 1-24 hours. When you want to execute it every 1-30 minutes, you change it as follows.

[General] : TimeAdjustInterval=00:mm --- mm : 01-30 (minutes)

When divide progress time (minutes) from 00:00 by this setting value, and a remainder became 0, execute adjustment of the time. When you want to execute it every 1-24 hours, you change it as follows.

[General] : TimeAdjustInterval=hh:00 --- hh : 01-24 (hours)

When divide progress time (hours) from 00:00 by this setting value, and a remainder became 0, execute adjustment of the time.

7.2 Log Output of Scan Memory Access Performance

This diagram indicates how to put out log of JTNI/JTGI scan memory access performance and the contents. Before this process, you must set “PerformanceLog” parameter described in “Set Log Output of JTNI/JTGI Scan Memory Acccess Performance” of “7.1” and restart OPC Server.

(1) How to put out the log

Click “TC-net Control/Scan Task” icon in the task bar.

The following dialog is shown. Click [Acce Info] button.

By clicking [Acce Info] button, you can get the log file “TCnetScanCtrl.log” under the folder which OPC Server is installed in. (Default : C:\Program Files\Toshiba\TC_net OPC Server)

After checking the contents of the log file, click [Minimize] button in the title bar of this dialog. Don’t click [Exit] button or [Close] button.

7.3 Time adjusting function with TC-net

When used TC-net100(JTNI PCI Express Card) or TC-net1G(JTGI), this chapter describes a function of adjust date/time of OPC server at the date/time of TC-net system.

Do "Setting of time adjusting interval with TC-net" of 7.1 "How to set the environment for OPC Server" beforehand, and please reboot OPC server.

(1) Time adjusting function

At intervals of the execution that specified in "Setting of time adjusting interval with TC-net" of 7.1 "How to set the environment for OPC Server", begin to read the date/time from TC-net system and adjust the date/time of OPC server.

About an execution interval, please refer to "Setting of time adjusting interval with TC-net" of 7.1 "How to set the environment for OPC Server".

(2) Time adjusting processing

When never set the date/time in TC-net system, date/time that has begun to read from a TC-net system is wrong.

On this account, do not adjust the date/time of OPC Server when compare the date/time of TC-net system and OPC Server, and there was a difference more than one month (longer from 31 days). In this case the following log is output to log file (TCnetScanCtrl.log)

Example) Year and month of TC-net are different from the Current time. PC [2012/02/15] / TC-net [2034/01/01]

In addition, the time does not adjust the date/time of PC in case of 00:00 so that "day" does not change as much as possible. But, in the case of execution interval specification for 1-24 hours, adjust the date/time five minutes later.

Execution log of date/time adjusting does not output it whenever adjust the date/time. When differences of the date/time of TC-net system and OPC Server are more than one minute, output it in log file. Following log is output to log file (TCnetScanCtrl.log)

8. Log Save Tool

8.1 Outline of Log Save Tool

Log Save Tool compresses a log file (four follows) of each OPC server function and saves it in a specified period, hard disk.

(1) OPC Server Function (Log file : TCnetOPCSvr.log, TCnetOPCSvr.org)

(2) Dual Management Function (Log file : OpcDualMng.log, OpcDualMng.org)

(3) TC-net Access Function (Log file : TCnetScanCtrl.log, TCnetScanCtrl.org)

(4) Tool I/F Function (Log file : OpcToolIfSvr.log, OpcToolIfSvr.org)

When file size exceeds 1MB a current log file (extension : log), extension is changed to "org" from "log". Log Save Tool detects that extension of this log file changed and executes compression processing.

Log Save Tool change a file name before compressing it. (extension : org -> txt)

Show an example of a file name in the following.

File name : TCnetOPCSvr_100622-171052_100622-182010.txt,

OpcDualMng_100622-100905_100622-231025.txt etc. Top date/time of stored by log file. "yymmdd-hhmmss" Last date/time. "yymmdd-hhmmss"

In addition, at a point in time when a stop of log save process or date changed into, copy a current log file (extension : log), and compression processes after changing a file name.

Log file compresses a period of 1 day in one file and saves it.

Show an example of a name of a compressed file in the following. (extension : cmp)

Compressed file : OPCSvrLogs_100622.cmp

The previous day or the day that a log save stopped. yymmdd

8.2 Launch / Close Log Save Tool

8.2.1 Launch Log Save Tool After installing TC-net OPC Server, “Log Save Tool” is registered in [Startup]. Log Save Tool runs automatically when system starts. (*1)

At this time, you should launch Log Save Tool manually.

Select the [Log Save Tool] on the App view on Windows 8.1/Windows Server 2012 R2. Select [Start]-[All Programs]-[ TC-net Opc Server]-[ Log Save Tool] on other OS. (*2)

On Windows 8.1/Windows Server 2012 R2

You can remove ‘Log Save Tool’ from <Startup> as below. (Windows 8.1 only)

Open Task Manager and select the <Startup> tab.

Select ‘Log Save Tool’ and click <Disable> button.

1) Save Folder

Specify folder of compressed log file. Click [Browse...] button and can select a folder. Default folder is " C:\Program Files\Toshiba\TC_net OPC Server\Logs ".

2) Save Condition / Save Period

Choose a Save Period from a combo box or input it by manual operation.

Input range is from 1 day to 365 days. Default is 90 days. When over the save period that specified, an old file is deleted.

3) Stop Condition / Disk Space Capacity

Choose a Disk Space Capacity from a combo box or input it by manual operation.

Input range is from 1 GB to 100 GB. Default is 1 GB. Log save process checks free space capacity of save disk (drive) periodically. If free space capacity became less than capacity that specified here, log save process is stop automatically. When log save process stopped automatically, message box is displayed.

4) Current State

Update indication of a current save period (days), save capacity and free space capacity of save disk (drive) by periodically (about 5 seconds).

5) Indication of a processing status

Display a processing status such as a log save execution state. 6) [Start] button

[Start] button to start log save processing. When processing executes it, an icon is displayed in a Notification Icons of Taskbar. When an icon is shown a Notification Icons of Taskbar, I show that log save processing is executing it.

7) [Stop] button

[Stop] button to stop log save processing.

8) [Decomp...] button

[Decomp...] button to decompress long-term save log file (file which was compressed).

8.3.2 Operation instructions 1) Start long-term save processing

When specify Save Folder, Save Condition and Stop Condition, click [Start] button, long-term save processing is started. When an error is found in Save Folder, Save Condition and Stop Condition, an error message is displayed.

When Save Folder does not exist, following inquiries is displayed, and it is made automatically.

2) Stop long-term save processing

Click [Stop] button, long-term save processing is stopped. Following inquiries are displayed.

A processing result is displayed to "Current State".

9.1 Outline of Log Decompress Tool

Log Decompress Tool uses it with the machine which OPC server is not installed in. And it is a tool to decompress a made file with a Log Save Tool. * Log Decompress Tool added in V01.40.

9.2 Setting-Up Log Decompress Tool

This chapter describes installation and uninstall of Log Decompress Tool.

Important:

Please execute it in a user of Administrator authority.

If Microsoft.Net Framework 2.0 isn’t installed on your PC or your PC’s OS is Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, install it according to “9.2.1 Installing Microsoft.Net Framework 2.0”.

9.2.1 Installing Microsoft.Net Framework 2.0/3.5

When your PC doesn’t have “Microsoft.Net Framework 2.0” or “Microsoft.Net Framework 3.5”, you must install it on your PC.

On Windows 8.1

When your PC’s OS is Windows 8.1, you should install “Microsoft.Net Framework 2.0” onto your PC. This can be downloaded via Microsoft WEB page or installed via the installation media When you install this via the installation media, you can make the ‘.Net Framework 2.0/3.5’ enabled as below. You mount the installation media and enter the following command in the command prompt with the administrator authority.

Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:x:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess <cr> (x is the drive name of the installation media.)

By right-clicking the left side of the task bar, the menu appears. Select the ‘Command Prompt (Admin)’.

Setup files exist under “DotNetFxSetup” folder in TC-net OPC Server CD. So you launch them.

The following four files must be launched.

(1) WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe : Windows Installer 3.1

(2) dotnetfx.exe : Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package

10. RAS function 10.1 RAS function

This chapter describes the RAS function of OPC Server. * RAS function added in V01.60

Diagnosis of each task of OPC server

Each task (TCnetOPCSvr.exe, OpcDualMng.exe, TCnetScanCtrl.exe, OpcToolIfSvr.exe) of OPC server update a healthy counter. OPC Server Monitor the healthy counter which each task updates. OPC Server judge that the task became abnormal when detect a stop of a healthy counter, and change the states of OPC Server to DOWN mode. About a change way of this diagnosis time, please refer to 7.1 How to set the environment for OPC Server "Change of diagnosis time of each task of an OPC server".

Quantity of memory use of OPC server

OPC Server V01.60 Add current value and average value of quantity of memory use of OPC server to an item of OPC. In current value, the value that got quantity of memory use of OPC server process by a period for five seconds is set. In average value, the value that calculated moving average of 120 samples of a value (for 10 minutes) is set. Quantity of memory use of OPC server becomes a value the same as "Private Bytes" of "Performance Monitor", not a value displayed by "Process" list of "Task Manager".

RAS function of TC-net

OPC server uses RAS function of TC-net100(JTNI PCI Express Card) or TC-net1G (JTGI), and does the following actions. (1) Request to stop of the scan transmission of other station

This is a function when used TC-net1G (JTGI). When parent node does not release talker blocks when own node tried a switchover to BUCKUP mode, OPC Server require JTGI of parent node to stop the scan transmission. When parent node detects scan stop, dual states switch over to PRE-ONLINE mode. JTGI of parent node release talker blocks. Default setting of this function is enabled. About a way to disable this function, please refer to 7.1 How to set the environment for

OPC Server "Change of enable or disable of request to stop of the scan transmission of other station".

(2) Monitor function of continuation request of the scan transmission of own station

This is a function when used TC-net100(JTNI PCI Express Card) or TC-net1G (JTGI). OPC server enables "Monitor function of continuation request of the scan transmission" (WDT) of JTNI/JTGI of own node, and outputs "Scan Transmission Continuation Request" regularly if all each tasks of OPC server are normal. When JTNI/JTGI of own node watch presence of "Scan Transmission Continuation Request" in set monitor time. When this request disappeared, JTNI/JTGI of own node judges OPC server to be abnormal and stops the scan transmission. If OPC Server is dual system, child node backs up this node. Default setting of this function is enabled. About a way to change this function, please refer to 7.1 How to set the environment for OPC Server "Change of enable or disable of monitor function of continuation request of the scan transmission of own station". An action of each parameter of action environment setting file "TCnetOPCSvr.ini" in the following. (Abbreviate "Monitor function of continuation request of the scan transmission" to "WDT" as follows)

There are "Fixed wait time" and "Floarting wait time", from completion of initialize of OPC Server or dual state changes till start of WDT. After completion of initialize of OPC Server or dual state changes, wait for "Fixed wait time". Wait for "Floarting wait time" afterwards. If WDT reset processing was executed more than "ScanContMoniExecCount" times among "ScanContMoniTimeout" time, judge that CPU load became low and was stable. Start of WDT after checking the operation of WDT if became this state. Cannot judge to CPU load became low and was stable, or judge to WDT function was wrong, validate WDT forcibly after "ScanContMoniFloatTime" time passed.

As for these values, there is a situation needing adjustment by performance of an OPC server machine, the number of the OPC items, an action of an OPC client. With task manager, please see CPU use rate after initialize of OPC Server or dual state changes. When a state of "CPU use rate 100%" continues more than 60 seconds, these have to coordinate a value of a parameter. A timing of "Initialize completion of OPC Server", It is the time when "Restart Status : 100%" was displayed on "TC-net OPC Server" window.

(h) Show that operation of WDT function is normal. If cannot judge to CPU load became low and was stable, or judge to WDT function was wrong, following log is output "Floating Wait Time is Over. (XX [sec])" --- Show that Floarting wait time passed.

(i) Show that started WDT function.

When (e) and (f) are recorded in log, have to coordinate a value of "Fixed wait time" (ScanContMoniWaitTime) parameter. By the example mentioned above, progress time from (c) to (f) recorded last is 66 seconds. Please set "Fixed wait time" in a big value than this time. By this, "WDT abnormality detection" does not occur. When these adjustment is difficult or log of (e) and (f) is sometimes recorded after passed of "ScanContMoniWaitTime", please set WDT function for disable.

(3) Power supply monitor function of own station

This is a function when used TC-net100(JTNI PCI Express Card) or TC-net1G (JTGI). OPC server enables "Power supply monitor function" of JTNI/JTGI of own node. When JTNI/JTGI of own node detects abnormality of the power supply voltage of PCI bus card, JTNI/JTGI leave TC-net. When OPC server of own node detects "JTNI/JTGI leave TC-net" by this, dual states switch over to PRE-ONLINE mode. If OPC Server is dual system, child node backs up this node. Default setting of this function is enabled. About a way to disable this function, please refer to 7.1 How to set the environment for OPC Server "Change of enable or disable of power supply monitor function of own station".

(4) Log related to RAS function

Read register of JTGI periodically and output log related to RAS function. This log related to RAS function, please see log file "TCnetScanCtrl.log". In log file, the following states are output.
