7e can pro!ide a communication pipe through our core s$itch and +re$all to the
outside using !irtual @ANs or '@ANs## Note that $e $ill limit the amount of
band$idth that is a!ailable to the outside so as to not star!e our other programs
operating at the Technology Center# If this method does not meet your needs then
the Technology Center sta $ill need to $or $ith you to determine ho$ they can

4#Technology Center SAN 0equirements
The Technology Center has some established Storage Area Net$ors for programs
that are currently utiliEing the center# This section captures the e.pectations you
ha!e for possible connections to those SANs#
7e prefer that you consider connecting in a manner that facilitates a minimum of
t$o paths bet$een storage and ser!ers# This allo$s for a greater possibility that
your en!ironment to stay operable should an une.pected outage occur# 7e also
re"uest that you consider consolidating your connections inside your rac) if you are
pro!iding one) to minimiEe that amount of e.tra5rac cabling#
7ill your e"uipment be connecting to a SAN for an e.isting program=
If yes) then ho$ many connections to the SAN $ill you re"uire=
5#Post*Installation Information The Technology Center needs to no$ that the e"uipment $ill be properly disposed
of or returned once the project has been completed# >our company may also ha!e
policies about tracing the disposal of e"uipment to meet internal or e.ternal
disposal compliance re"uirements#
Charges for time to tear do$n) pac and ship e"uipment as $ell as materials costs
$ill be the responsibility of the customer#
The Technology Center can dispose of the e"uipment if you desire# They $ill charge
time) materials and other disposal charges# (stimates of these charges can be
pro!ided prior to the commencement of the project but rates may change during
the life of the project if e.ternal resources are re"uired#
7ill you dispose of the e"uipment and its shipping materials=
