Product Description TC-8100 Base Station Power Amplifier provides both uplink and downlink amplification for multiple carriers and extends the coverage that decreases the cost and improves the service quality. The unit is fit for outdoor installation and can boost the transmitted power to extend cell coverage. The uplink low-noise amplifier (LNA) serves to improve the receiver sensitivity of the BTS to cope with the extended cell coverage in the downlink. TC-8100 is powered with -48VDC and 220VAC power supply alternatively. The unit comprises of duplexers, downlink MCPA, LNA,RF by-pass switch, Main Control Unit (MCU), and wireless modem. Parameter settings of the unit can be done locally via a notebook computer with OMT, or remotely via wireless modem using OMT or OMC software. Alarms are displayed on the MCU and could be detected by BTS as external alarm. Through the wireless modem, the alarm data can be transmitted to the OMC automatically, or be sent as SMS to a predefined cellular device. Operation and Maintenance

Using only a direct serial connection to a PC, installation and commissioning of the TC-8100 is accomplished with OMT, and using the integrated wireless modem (SMS), equipment parameters can be monitored remotely. Controlled equipment parameters include: PA Switch, Over-Temp Threshold, DL Output Power Threshold, DL Input Power Threshold and Alarm Report Enable. Monitored equipment alarms and parameters include: Output Power, PSU Fault, Over Temp, Input VSWR, Input &output Power Low, Input &output Power High, Tower Mounted Amplifier and so on. TC-8100 has been developed to take advantage of advanced network operation. The OMC (optional) is an effective solution to monitoring a group of Comba products centrally.
