Each year fans of Robert Pattinson join together to raise money for a cause in honor of his birthday on May 13th. Last year they chose to donate to the organization In Defense of Animals. This year the chosen charity is Stand up to Cancer.
As many of you know, on September 7, 2012, Robert was a surprise guest on the Telethon for Stand Up 2 Cancer. 81 million dollars was raised that night. You

We got some amazing
news this past month. On
April 17th the Canne’s Film
Fesitval held their press
conference to announce the
line up of movies that will be
prestented. And much to
our delight BOTH of
Robert’s movies were
selected.
The first announcement
came with THE ROVER
which was selected to
premiere during one of the
Midnight Screenings at
Cannes. Although it is not in
competetion for the Palme
d’or it is still an official
selection of the festival.

SU2C was founded in May 2008 & since its inception has raised over $262 million dollars towards cancer research. Their mission is to fund collaborative, translation-al cancer research that bring treatments from the bench to the bedside faster, and save lives now.
They have funded over 140 clinical trials that have been launched by SU2C scientists, in which more than 4,000 patients have
been enrolled in to date.
Robert’s Birthday Project is supported by many Rob focused blogs. And we at TBP are also lending our voice to the cause. There is no donation that is too small and 100% of all money donated goes directly to support cancer research.
Most of us have been touched by cancer in one way or another. Whether it be ourselves, a loved one, or a close friend. Without research, new medications and treatments would not be possible. You can donate to the Robert Pattinson Birthday Project Team at SU2C HERE:

We had to wait a little bit before they revealed what films would be selected for the In Competition section at the prestige’s festival but when it was announced we were ecstatic. MAPS TO THE STARS was among the 18 selected.
We don’t have the specific times and dates for when each movie will screen just yet. The schedule will be released on May 7th.
The Cannes Film Festival runs from May 14th to 25th.

While we are anxiously awaiting information about a new album, Bobby has continued to tour in April with two shows. One in Portland, Maine, and the other in Albany, New York in support of Rodrigo Y Gabriela.

We learned this past month that Marcus was scheduled to participate in a wonderful event called The Ewafe Project (raising the roof) on May 3rd at St. Luke’s Church in London.
For those unfamiliar with this project it is a fund-raiser to help raise money to start building a home that would care for abandoned children in Kampala. Part of the money for this endeavor was raised in December

This month we decided that
instead of a raffle we would
give something away. With
Sam being a part of Edgar’s

to give to folks.
We asked people to retweet
one of our tweets, on three
consecutive days. We had
great participation.

our first winner.
@searbhasach (Wendy) was our second winner.
@SciFi_Fan (Amanda) was our final winner.

A lot has been happening for Sam over the course of the month. For starters the compilation CD for Edgar’s Gift which featured his song Not Your Kind, was released. 29 amazing indie artists were on that CD which you can still buy HERE:

In addition, we learned through a blog post entitled, England to Canada and the Making of an Album, Sam made on April 17, 2014, that he did leave London. This

Lee started the month of April by appearing on the German Television Show ZDF-Morgenmagazin. He performed both London in the Summer and Falling in Love for the Last Time. They did talk with him briefly between the two songs about his first single and why it took so long to release his first album. He had a funny answer to that. You can watch his segment HERE:

was a difficult decision for him to make but one he felt he needed to do. He indicated that he was staying in Vancouver with his mom while he gets things squared away with his debut album.
“…been writing new songs (not all of them quite
finished) and will attempt to make my DEBUT ALBUM! I have tried to make albums
in the past but due to complications have reduced
them to EP’s so I am changing my outlook and
this project will have a more DIY approach.”

Sam did give us a little snippet to wet our appetites for new music on April 27th with this lovely little video:

We are all very supportive of Sam and his process and will do what we can to help and promote his new work. Can’t wait for more music though. How about you?
Lee also finished off his German tour this month. He performed in Gera, Berlin, Griefswald, Münster and Frankfurt. In addition to a house show in Ihlienworth. When his final show ended he did one last concert at a Children’s Home in Borna. What a caring thing to do!
In addition Lee has been working on a new video for the single STAY. Lee is pictured in this behind the scene shot with
Barbara Posch.
Stay will be a wonderful follow up to his first single Falling in Love for the Last Time which is available for download worldwide. You can purchase it HERE:

April proved to be a
fantastic month for Rob
news.
First and foremost is that
we learned that both of
Rob’s upcoming projects
were selected by Cannes.
One will be presented at
one of their midnight
screenings (THE ROVER)
and the other will be in
competition (MAPS TO
THE STARS). We at TBP
are so very proud of Robert
and this accomplishment.
As if that wasn’t enough we
were also blessed with
TWO new trailers. One for
each of his movies.
The Rover Trailer http://tinyurl.com/mdrcul5
Maps to the Stars Trailer http://tinyurl.com/kc7qmsf
We got a lot of new stills from both movies as well.
Robert Pattinson News
It has been a slow month
for Tom. We still have no
news on Effie Gray. There
has been nothing released
about the court case that
was supposed to be last
month.
Unfortunately, Tom’s Far
from the Madding Crowd
was not selected for
Cannes this year but it’s
possible that it simply was
not ready.
He should start production
on Remainder sometime in
the next month or so
according to previous
reports. So we shall see if
anything new comes up
this month on that front.

We also got some updates on Robert’s upcoming projects. The first is on a sad note. The Wrap has reported that Robert had to pull out of Mission Blacklist due to scheduling conflicts and insufficient time to prepare. For many fans this was a blow but sometimes this happens. We at TBP wish the film good luck and hope that the story does indeed get told.
So where does that leave
Robert filming wise? Well,
first on the agenda seems
to be The Lost City of Z.
According to Benedict
Cumberbatch, he will start
shooting in June. Now we are
still unsure of Rob’s part in this
movie but it should be great.
Next, Childhood of a Leader,
which according to the current
issue of Production Weekly is
set to start filming July 2014 in
Europe. This movie stars Rob,
Juliette Binoche and Tim Roth.
Finally, Hold On To Me. The
movie that has been on hold
for several years is scheduled
to start filming in September,
according to a recent report in
Production Weekly. Hopefully,
we won’t see this movie stall
again.
UPCOMING PROJECTS:
* The Rover (2014)
* Maps to the Stars (2014)
* Queen of the Desert (2015)
* Life (2015)
* The Lost City of Z (2015)
* Childhood of a Leader (2015)
* Hold On To Me (2015)
Currently Tom has a one
movie completed and
waiting for release (Effie
Gray) and two movies in
post-production (Untitled
Terrence Malick Project
and Far from the Madding
Crowd).
Both films have been
completed and are in the
editing process. The
Terrence Malick Project
has been done for a while
now and features cameos
by many well-known
actors including Christian
Bale, Michael Fassbender,
Ryan Gosling, Natalie
Portman and a host of
others. We are curious
about this picture and hope
some news will come soon
on its status.
In the meantime we will
need to make due with
some of Tom’s previous
roles.
In Pirate Radio, Tom plays
Carl, a 17 year-old boy who
was recently expelled from
his school and is sent on
board to stay with his
godfather Quentin (Bill
Nighty).
UPCOMING PROJECTS:
*Effie Gray (2014)
* Far from the Madding
Crowd (2014)
* Remainder (2015)
Both Maps to the Stars and The
Rover will be heading to
Cannes in May
