The lead single We are never ever getting back together became Taylors first number one on the Billboard official Hot 100. Red sold 1.21 million copies in its first week. Taylors most recent album, 1989, was released in 2014 and became her first album completely comprised of the Pop genre only. It managed to beat all other albums selling 1.28 million copies in its first week. Taylor Swift is the only artist in history to have 3 albums sell over a million copies in their first week of release.
