Fossil

* Fuels formed in the ground from the remains of dead plants and animals. It takes millions of years to form fossil fuels. Oil, natural gas, and coal are fossil fuels.

* Stored in a gas can.

Solar

* (energy from the sun that is converted into thermal or electrical energy) "the amount of energy falling on the earth is given by the solar constant, but very little use has been made of solar energy"

• Stored in batteries.

Wind

Energy received from the movement of the wind across the earth. This energy is a result of the heating of our oceans, earth, and atmosphere by the sun.

They can store electricity in batteries while the wind is blowing, and this will be available in times of calm.

Fusion

• Fusion power is the power generated by nuclear fusion reactions. In this kind of reaction, two light atomic nuclei fuse together to form a heavier.

Hydro

• Electricity produced from generators driven by water turbines that convert the energy in falling or fast-flowing water to mechanical energy.

Biomass

• Organic materials that can be burned and used as a source of fuel. Wood being the main source of biomass such as saw-dust or any type of waste from wood is processed to make wood-pellets and used as fuel for wood pellet boilers and stoves.

Geothermal

• Heat under the ground used to heat water and make steam to turn generator turbines and make electricity.
