Provide implementation support to prepare, support, and strengthen Nepal’s disaster response and recovery system to assess and respond to the second-order impacts of COVID-19. Tayar Nepal: Cash Transfer Program Technical Assistance Objectives 1. Municipalities and Tayar Nepal’s Implementing Grantees (IGs) are capacitated to run cash transfer program effectively for the most vulnerable communities impacted by COVID-19. 2. Community resilience strengthened through renovating/constructing community assets. 3. Through revived livelihood options, people are better prepared to cope with the impact of COVID-19 Key activities • Market assessment in 12 municipalities. • Develop beneficiary selection criteria for Cash Transfer Program. • Build capacity of Tayar Nepal’s IGs on Cash Transfer Program Intervention. • Technical support to Tayar Nepal’s IGs on beneficiary selection, registration and verification. • Support Tayar Nepal’s IGs for finalization of schemes on Cash for Work intervention. • Provide technical support for implementation of schemes for Cash for Work intervention. • Support Financial Service Providers for cash distribution. • Conduct Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) in all the 12 municipalities. • Collection of case stories and final report preparation.
