Lake St.Clair lays in the southern part of the Cradle Mountain - Lake St.Clair National Park, which is declared the World Heritage Area

The glacier-formed lake St.Clair is located 737 m above the sea level and, being 167 m deep, is the deepest lake in Australia

There are several walking trails along the shores of the lake, ranging from 40 minutes to a full day

Elizabeth TownThe Ashgrove Shop is located on the family farm in Elizabeth Town. With viewing of the cheese making and tastings of the full Ashgrove Cheese range, the Ashgrove Cheese Shop is one of Tasmania’s must see tourist attractions.

A popular feature of a visit to Ashgrove is viewing the many colourful cows, painted by local schools in the 2008 Ashgrove Cow Art competition.

Devils @ Cradle is a wildlife sanctuary for Tasmanian devil breeding, located beside the main access road to Cradle Mountain National park, just a kilometer from the main gate.

 The Devils @ Cradle Tasmanian Devil Sanctuary protects this unique species as well as the Eastern Quoll and Spotted-tail Quoll, other carnivorous marsupials.

Queenstown is the Largest town on Tasmania's West Coast, and is the home of the Mt Lyell Mining & Railway Company and the West Coast Wilderness Railway, and has several Wilderness walks in the area as well as great Trout Fishing in several surrounding Lakes.

From its beginnings as the location for bushmen seeking precious Huon pine, Strahan became the railway port for a rich copper mine inland. Deep in Macquarie Harbour south of Strahan, a notorious convict settlement was established on Sarah Island.
