All are welcome.  At the main TASK location on Escher Street, a mid- day meal is served Mon through Fri from 11am to 1pm, doors open at 10:30. Children are given breakfast bags along with their hot meal. Dinner is served Mon through Thurs from 4 to 5:30pm, doors open at 3:30. On Thurs evenings, children are given dinner bags for Friday along with their hot meal.  At the South Trenton Soup Kitchen in the First Baptist Church on Centre Street, dinner is served on Mon, Tues, and Wed from 5 to 6:30pm.  At both the South Trenton Soup Kitchen in the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Stanislaus Church at 60 Randall Ave. and the West Trenton Soup Kitchen in the Trinity Cathedral Church at 801 West State St., dinner is served on Thurs 5 to 6:30 pm. Medical Services Medical services are offered regularly during meal times by nurses from Henry J. Austin Health Care Center and Robert Wood Johnson Hospital at Hamilton. Services offered include blood-pressure screening, counseling, and HIV testing. Legal Aid TASK has connections with Dechert LLP in Princeton, and associates from the firm come twice a month to meet with patrons who need legal services and have first been screened by a social worker. Examples of cases that the legal aid would assist with are landlord/tenant disputes and receipt of benefits. Dechert LLP does this pro bono. Kid’s Time Program TASK offers this program, which includes a variety of creative services tfor patrons . Arts and crafts supplies are always available. Specifically, there are two programs for the arts underway: The A-Team  Artists and the Share Program. To learn more about these programs, please visit our website at www.trentonsoupkitchen.org/arts. Social Workers TASK has two on-site, full-time social workers, as well as visiting social workers from the Mercer County Board of Social Services regularly. The on-site social workers help with issues such as housing, medical assistance and advocacy, employment, substance abuse rehabilitation, and receipt of benefits. The social workers from the Mercer County Board of Social Services help with food stamp certification and other issues. The social workers also screen patrons to see if they are eligible for legal aid. Hygiene Bags Hygiene bags are offered each week to those in need. These bags include items such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and disposable razors. Tutoring Services TASK provides tutoring services for adults (18 years and older) in need. This includes one-on-one tutoring in basic literacy, math, GED preparation, and computer skills. All supplies needed are provided, such as books, notebooks, pens, and reading glasses. The TASK Computer Center holds classes on computer skills, and patrons are free to use the computers during mealtime for resume preparation and Internet access.
