Mission
To facilitate development of bridge industry consensus standards for data description, modeling, and interoperability for integrated design, construction, and lifecycle management of bridges.

Research Objectives
This research is intended to develop, implement and demonstrate an efficient and robust digital data exchange protocol (file format) that could be used to automate the exchange of bridge information
• During project delivery and asset management including design, detailing, fabrication, construction, inspection, and evaluation
• “Workhorse” steel and concrete bridges
• In public domain and software neutral
• Collaboration of relevant software vendors for them to write “translators” to facilitate automated transfer of data
• Increasing stakeholders awareness via various means (webinars, workshops, etc.)
