Advertising IndustryPhotography is used in the industry for many reasons. It is one of the best ways of getting business for a company such as Nike, Puma, Vans etc. The photography that they display will always show there products, either being worn or just on there own. Fashion IndustryThe Fashion Industry is a lot like the Advertisement Industry. Photography in the fashion industry is used to promote new clothes that are coming out, new brands or new designers. In my opinion I think that the way the phot0os are taken are very different from the ones used in the Advertising Industry, even though they are used for the same thing. In the advertisement Industry they focus on the one subject at hand, where as in the fashion industry they get multiple items into the same photos to try and sell the look that is being put on by the designers. Here you will find examples of the Fashion Industry photography .Patrick Demarchelier is a fashion photographer and he seems to base most of his photos around a black and white theme. Another photographer is Annie Leibovitz and she focuses more on woman I think, most of her photos are abnormal and has a good contrast in colours.

Music Industry

Photography is used in the music industry to help publicise a certain artist, or if they need a album art cover. He would also take photos to advertise events.

Andrew Cotterill is a good music photographer, he normally takes group photos e.g. bands who are in large groups. He also takes pictures for singular artists as well.

Sports IndustrySports Photography is used for promoting the sport/brand or building the brand.Sports photography will usually be displayed in newspapers or sports magazines.

If there is any significant sporting event taking place, The chances are Bob Martin would be the photographer, he is recognised as one of the worlds leading sports photographers.

Photo journalismPhoto Journalism is the documentation of historical or current events.

It involves collecting, editing and then presenting the news material for publication or broadcast.

A well known Photo Journalism Photographer was Eugene Smith. He was known for his refusal to compromise professional standards and his brutally vivid World War II photographs.

Fine Art PhotographyFine art photography usually consists of a photographers individual taste. Sometimes the photographs taken can have a meaning behind them.

Fine Art Photography fulfils the creative vision of a photographer.
