Production CompaniesThe aim of a production company is to take care of

many things such as budgeting, scheduling, scripting, deciding on a set cast and also marketing.

Our production company and logoThe name of our production company is Smiley Inc

Productions. We decided on this to create irony between the company and the actual film. The

smiley face for the logo is also scratchy and edgy looking building on the thriller genre.

The design

DistributorsFilm distributors are companies who market and promote the film. They decide where and when

the film will be screened and have to decide how many copies of the film will be made before

being sent to the cinemas. They often set the release date for films too.

Film4Film4 is a production company that would be likely to distribute our film because on top of

releasing new films in the same thriller genre such as ‘Seven Psychopaths’ they are well known for

supporting British films which have been produced at a low budget.

Funding

The British Film Institute is a company who give lottery money to low budget British films and so

to fund our film, this would pay for the actual film and also the marketing of it.
