Training module for Tasar seed ProducersBroad objectives

• To orient the participants towards enterprise building.

• To develop their attitudes towards goal setting, initiative, risk taking abilities, utilizing experience of self and others.

• To enhance the capabilities (skills and ability) of initiating / launching grainage enterprise.

• To develop & strengthen the competence for enterprise management.

• To review the performance of the enterprise viz., Optimization of cost, Customer management, Resource care and management, Problem solving, Time management, Reinvestment, Expansion of market, Additional responsibility, Future plan.

Pre-requisites of training

• Identification of Graineurs, list finalization and invitation for training

• Fixing of dates, venue and arrangement for other logistics

• Arrangement for training materials and trainers

Logistic and materials required

1. Training hall with capacity to accommodate 25 persons with electric/ generator facility and night stay, wherever possible

2. Fooding arrangement for 25 participants and 2 Resource persons as per the schedule

3. Sitting arrangement (mat), bed roll, mosquito repellant, water and light arrangement in training venue for 25 participants for 10 days

4. Stationery items viz., Note book (25 pcs), pen (25 pcs), chart paper (10 Pcs), Marker (4 Pcs, two different color), study material (25 no.), Training attendance register etc.

5. Banner, camera, stamp pad, arrangement for laptop and projector

6. Travel arrangement (e.g Ticket reservation) and travel plan along with one associate for the selected Graineurs to reach the venue and coming back

7. Lime - 10 Kg, Bleaching - 2 kg, Formalin - 5 ltr, Sulphur- 2 Kg, Paper- 2 Kg, Microscope- 5 nos for practice, Measuring cylinder- 1 pcs, Slide- 5 pkts, Cover slip- 5 pkts, Soft detergent- 1pc or Deuparatex-1 lt and K2CO3- 200 gm

2. What is the process - Discussion with the Customer, assessment of commercial DFL requirement, calculation of number of seed cocoons required assessment working capital and human resources

3. Based on the past experience of seed cocoon production, ascertaining number of basic seed Dfls and number of seed rearer’s required
