Target Corporaon Launching Fitness and Lifestyle Transformaon Program at Central Michigan University
Target Corporaon is pleased to announce its latest partnership with Central Michigan University. As a tness- and life-
style-based program, Target Trim & Slim: Chippewa Challenge aims to recreate the foundaon college lifestyles are built
upon and transform the way program parcipants and the greater college community view health and happiness.
WHO: Recruitment for the Target Trim & Slim: Chippewa Challenge is divided into two parts:
• Junior- and senior-level Dietecs and Exercise Science majors are encouraged to apply for
personal trainer and nutronist internships
• All Central Michigan University students seeking a dramac, posive lifestyle change are
encouraged to apply for this rigorous 10-week program
WHAT: Dietecs and Exercise Science interns will be trained by esteemed professionals in the personaltraining and nutrion elds. These interns will work closely with 15 male and 15 female parcipants
that have contractually dedicated 10 weeks of me and sweat to transforming their current lifestyles
into energized, healthy futures.
WHEN: Program recruitment begins Sunday, August 25, 2013.
• Internship applicaons must be submied by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2013
• Program parcipants must be registered and submit required paperwork by 5 p.m. on
Sunday, December 1, 2013
Challenge training launches Sunday, January 12, 2014 and ends March 30, 2014.

Central Michigan University Students team up with Target for tness program
Target Corporaon of Mount Pleasant is teaming up with Central Michigan University’s Health
Professions to create a tness and nutrion program for students. The Program will run for ten weeks
in the months of January through March of 2014.
Thirty students will be given the opportunity to be the rst parcipants for the Trim & Slim ChippewaChallenge. This will be a ten-week program consisng of a work out schedule, along with a nutrion
plan to follow. Each parcipant will be given a journal to keep track of his or her progress.
Students from the College of Health Professions on Central Michigan University’s campus will be
given an internship opportunity to get hands on experience. Focusing on Dietecs and Exercise
Science majors, these students will be the foundaon for a successful program.
Chantell LaForest and Abbey Wenk, Public Relaons students at Central Michigan University,
created Target Trim & Slim Chippewa Challenge. Target has a large corporate responsibility in the
area of community health. Along with the Target Trim & Slim, Target oers programs to keep your
community healthy and strong.
