Question .

How Did You Attract/Address Your Audience.

Page 2: Target audience presentation

Initial Questionnaires:

Way back when I started planning my opening sequence I made a questionnaire and distributed it to 20 people of various ages. Using the feedback from this I was able to establish the people who were most likely to watch my film, henceforth establishing my target audience. This was then written up and put into pie and bar charts.

The link below takes you directly to the blog post where the results of the questionnaire are written.

First Draft Feedback:

After completing the First Draft of the opening sequence, I asked the people I’d shown it too, to write down any thing that they felt was particularly good about the sequence, then to write down any critiques that they had, so we could use this constructive criticism to make our opening sequence better.

This is the link to the blog post of the First Draft Feedback:

Final Opening Sequence Feedback:To gain some feedback on my final opening sequence, I distributed 40 questionnaires, to people all within the target audience of my opening sequence.

I initially asked closed questions, then towards the end I asked more open questions, to get an idea of what teens honestly thought of my opening sequence.

I put the answers to the closed questions into graphs, however, as the open questions frequently came back with similar answers, I wrote up the general feelings towards my opening sequence. The answers in the open questions became quite similar after a while, so I only wrote up 10 of them.

Conclusion

After re-watching my first draft and taking the feedback into consideration, then re-watching my final opening sequence, I think that there is very little I could have done to improve my final piece. I think that the final opening sequence was much better than the first draft, because of the improved overall quality, and the variation of camera shots. I’m very pleased with the final result.
