Case #090582773 06/06/09 7:22 pm 19th Avenue and Irving Officers Thu Vaing and Jennifer Fiorello stopped a driver for a left turn violation. The driver, who lives in Petaluma, was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and his 2005 Chrysler was towed. Case #090583505 06/06/09 10:39 pm St. Charles and Niantic Officers Scott Biggs and Chris Oshita were on patrol when they spotted an erratic driver driving directly at them almost hitting their car. The officers alighted from their vehicle and identified themselves with their police stars, as they were in plainclothes. The driver put the vehicle in reverse and then took off at a high rate of speed. Several blocks later he suddenly came to an abrupt stop. The officers detained the driver, found him to be operating the vehicle with a suspended license, and also found him to be in possession of a large amount of suspected cocaine packaged for sale. Officers Scott Biggs and Chris Oshita were on patrol when they spotted an erratic driver driving directly at them almost hitting their car. The officers alighted from their vehicle and identified themselves with their police stars, as they were in plainclothes. The driver put the vehicle in reverse and then took off at a high rate of speed. Several blocks later he suddenly came to an abrupt stop. The officers detained the driver, found him to be operating the vehicle with a suspended license, and also found him to be in possession of a large amount of suspected cocaine packaged for sale. Officer Rodrigo Labson and Carmen Batan stopped a driver for a registration violation. The driver, who lives on the 2700 block of 36th Avenue, was driving with a suspended license. She was cited and her 2003 Honda was towed. Case #090584343

Officers John Laffey and Richard Austria stopped a vehicle for a cell phone violation. The driver, who lives in Oakland, was wanted for two arrest warrants for driving with a suspended license from the Oakland Police Department. Case #090585034

Officer Ronald Choy stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation. The driver, who lives on the 2200 block of 15th Avenue, was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and his 1992 Acura was towed. Case #090585636

Officers Angela Rouede, Marc Higa and numerous other officers responded to a large family fight over household items being thrown in front of the house. Three members of the family assaulated each other with brooms and fists. One suspect was arrested for battery, one for felony assault and a third was taken to San Francisco General Hospital on a mental health intervention. Case #090587018

Officers Scott Biggs and Chris Oshita stopped a vehicle for a registration violation. The driver was on active probation. The officers conducted a search of his vehicle and his residence on the 400 block of Argonaut. They found 1900 suspected illegal ecstasy pills, marijuana packaged for sale and numerous other items validating a distribution operation. The suspect was arrested on numerous charges. 06/08/09 10:00 am 2500 block of Noriega

Officers Lindsey Suslow and Kevin O'Leary responded to a pharmacy on Noriega where it was reported that an auto thief was inside and the vehicle parked nearby. They located the suspect inside and she denied driving the stolen vehicle. However, the officers found keys on the suspect that fit the vehicle and obtained other information linking her to the theft. The resident of the 2100 block of 42nd Avenue was arrested for auto theft. Case #090588260

Officers Khang Do and Leroy Thomas responded to an address on Geneva where a sibling had arrived in violation of a restraining order. The suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana and a misdemeanor warrant from the Santa Monica Police Department. Case #090123383

Officer Darwin Naval stopped a driver for a cell phone violation. The driver, who lives in Santa Cruz, was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and his 1994 Volvo was towed. Case #090592471

06/09/09 11:20 am 19th Avenue and Winston

A woman from Los Angeles was on a Municipal Railway light rail vehicle when a large number of boisterous female juveniles got on the vehicle, started yelling obscenities and surrounded the woman. One of the suspects grabbed her cell phone and then they all exited the vehicle with the victim in pursuit. The victim confronted the suspects but backed off when they threatened her. The suspects fled down to the entry area of the Stonestown Galleria where Stonestown Security stopped the suspects. The suspects, who live on the 100 block of Nevada, the 200 block of Minerva, the 1700 block of McKinnon and the 100 block of Westpoint, were arrested for robbery and conspiracy. Case #090592619

06/09/09 3:10 pm 2300 block of 46th Avenue

Officers Chris Oshita and Scott Biggs conducted an investigation of a large marijuana "grow" inside a residence on the 2300 block of 46th Avenue. The officers obtained a search warrant from the Superior Court and assembled a team of officers to execute the search warrant. Captain Paul Chignell, Sergeant Steve Quon, Sergeant Mark Im, Sergeant Gary Watts and Officers Troy Carrasco, Michele Martinez, Jose Guardado, Patrice Scanlon, and Nicolas Pena arrived to assist Officers Biggs and Oshita and entered the premises. A large marijuana grow was discovered including scores of plants, growing apparatus and mature marijuana. Two suspects on the premises, who live at the address and the 2200 block of Revere were arrested on narcotics charges as well as conspiracy. Case #090594148

The San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department is sponsoring a meeting concerning the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival tonight, Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 7:00 pm at Taraval Police Station, 2345 24th Avenue. The meeting will present details of the festival including plans to minimize the impact on surrounding neighborhoods. Sgt. Jody Kato stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives on the 2300 block of 37th Avenue, was unlicensed and uninsured. She was cited and her 2008 BMW was towed. Case #090595685

06/10/09 9:10 am First block of West Portal Two men were delivering alcoholic beverages from their truck when they spotted a man trying to open the door of the truck. The deliverymen yelled "what are you doing?" The man said "I am robbing you". The men detained the suspect until Officers Brendan Gardiner and Thomas Ly arrived to arrest

06/10/09 10:35 am 2200 block of Taraval Officers Chris Oshita and Scott Biggs were on plainclothes patrol at 32nd Avenue and Taraval when they observed a woman with two knives in her hand violently swinging the knives at a man. The officers identified themselves and ordered the woman to drop the knives. She complied and was taken into custody. The victim, who is on felony probation, was in possession of ammunition in violation of the law. The two suspects, who live on the 2500 block of 33rd Avenue were arrested for felony assault and other charges. Case #090596508

2. Taraval Officers Catch Municipal Railway Cell Phone Thieves---See Below. 3. 5. On Saturday, June 27, 2009, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, there will be a neighborhood Electronic Waste Collection event at the Lake Merced Parking Lot and Sunset Boulevard.

ARRESTS: 06/11/09 11:00 am 700 block of Taraval Officers Brendan Gardiner and Maria Donati went to a Safeway store where security was holding a shoplifter. The resident of Seward Street was cited for theft. Case #090600256

06/11/09 1:45 pm Ocean near Lagunitas

A municipal railway vehicle was proceeding southbound crossing Ocean near Lagunitas. Two women were on the vehicle, one near the front and one further back on the vehicle. Both women were text messaging on their cell phones. Suddenly two suspects approached, grabbed the one cell phone, ran further up the vehicle, grabbed another from the second victim and fled the vehicle. Numerous witnesses observed the thefts with some of them chasing the suspects on Woodacre to Junipero Serra and then into St. Francis Wood. A number of officers responded to the crimes including Officers James Johnson, Thomas Ly, Jamie Hyun and Darwin Naval. A search was conducted for the suspects to no avail. Officer Ly then proceeded to drive one of the victims home. While they were driving in the area of San Jose and Geneva, the victim observed two persons walking and told the officer they were the suspects. Officer Ly stopped the suspects and

found the stolen cell phones in possession of one of the suspects. The suspects, who are on probation for other crimes, were identified by both victims. The suspects, who live on the 1000 block of Hudson and the 3000 block of Folsom, were arrested for grand theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy. Case #090600977 and #090600911
