Pat Deason, President, opened the meeting. She thanked everyone for coming. Pat reminded the members to let Lisa

Waugh know if they had brought food or helped setup or cleanup. We need a location for the next meeting. Please

let Linda Blackmon know if you know of a location we can use.

Bonnie made a motion to approve the minutes, Deitrah seconded the motion and they were approved.

Pat reminded the members to be thinking about being officers for next year. Most officers have to roll off the end of

this year.

The club received a note from Bobbie Takashima thanking us for our hospitality.

Pat asked if anyone had news about any members.

Wells Fargo took out $12 service charge for the past two months. Hilda is going to call about the service charges.

Linda Blackmon has the projects to vote on for Janelle Johnson Seminar. That seminar will be Sept 15 & 16.

The Incentive Seminar is August 4. Liz Miller is teaching a very cute Barn Cat. The paints will be provided.

Brenda Stewart is coming March 23 & 24, 2013. We still need a location for that seminar.

Hilda Barry, Lisa Waugh, Anita Apple, Pat Deason, and Bonnie Klocke volunteered to help with the mural at Metroli-

na Regional Scholars' Academy. Lisa described the wall that we would paint on. Lisa suggested that we involve the

upper level art classes to assist with the base coating and larger details. We would start in August or September

when school starts back. Lisa will arrange the details with the Art teacher and the Board of Directors. Becky

Wisneinski offered to help with the design.

Hilda Barry won the dilly. Linda Long provided the dilly.

Memory Boxes were brought by Anita, Linda B., Bonnie K., and Linda L.

All members present worked on embellishing goody bags for our service project.

We discussed which charity to donate our service project.

Deitrah brought a table that she painted at the beach and also a tin coffee pot that she painted with Jo Sonja at DAC

Museum. Deitrah teaches at The Barn in Clover. I reminded the teachers that I would be happy to send an email

about any classes that they are teaching.

Pat taught our service project today. We did stenciling with Shiva Paintsticks on denim bags. Pat also taked about

doing rubbings with stamps and texture plates. Some of the texture plates are available from:

Going on I-77 South—Exit at Carowinds Blvd and bear right at the Exit. Turn left onto S. Tryon Street (Rt. 49) Continue on 49 S York Road. Turn right onto Hwy 557. Then turn right onto Glenn Road. The house will be on your right. Turn in to a dirt driveway and the Barn is about 1/2 mile at the end of the driveway.

Send membership dues for NSDP Directly to national. Membership dues for National is $50 Before December 30 and $55.00 after December 1. You must Be a member of NSDP in order to join the Tar Heel Decorative Artist. Please send a photocopy of your NSDP membership Card with payment of the Tar Heel Decorative Artist Dues. Checks will be returned if this procedure is not followed. Membership dues are due December 1 for the following year and are delinquent after December 31. Tar Heel Decorative Artists renewals pay new member rates after

December 31. SDP membership is required before joining Tar Heel Decorative Artist. You may join both at the same time.

An Active member attends a minimum of two meetings yearly. New members are inactive until the 2nd meeting attended. Inactive members

do have voting privileges. All seminars are based on a first application basis of new members before inactive members.

Meetings are held the 3rd Saturdays of January, March, May, September. And November.
