Krakowiak Krakowiak - lively, Polish folk

dance from the region of Krakow, in the Polish national dances, in 2/4 meter. The name of the dance comes from the 18th century and refer to a group of dances with their own local names: passing, tread, the fugitive, skalmierzak, run. At the end of the 18th century the characteristic synkopowane rhythms krakowiak appeared in the music of the Symphony, and at the beginning of the 19th century the dance that became popular stage and backdrop.
