The camp helped us a lot in preparing for the examinations. We applaud the teachers for a good job well done.

Residing in a three-roomed shack and being raised by a single, unemployed father could have stopped Michael Bila from excelling in Matric – but he passed with flying colours. He obtained position one nationally in physical science with 100%. He also obtained six distinctions - in Physical Science, Mathematics, Life Science, Life Orientation, Geography and Tsonga. Bila is going to study Actuarial Science at Wits University. “A combination of hard work, team work, sleepless nights and self-motivation led to my success in Matric. I had financial challenges as my father is unemployed but he tried his level best to make sure that l was equipped at school,” said Bila.He added that his background motivated him to work hard at school. His advice to upcoming Matrics is: “In order to change your background you should study hard. The harder you work, the luckier you become.”Eugene Bila, his father, said, “I am happy for my son and had confidence in him that he would pass. Parents should teach children things that will help them and not allow them to be dominated by their peers.”Bores Khuzwayo, principal at Ponego Secondary School, said, “Many learners have passed and we have surpassed the district target percentage with 6%. Michael Bila has made history for the second time at the school following Tumelo Sibanda who was also top nationally in 2007. We are going to use him to motivate and address other learners. We are striving to produce other Bilas at the school.”The school obtained a pass rate of 86%, a 5,21% drop compared to 2013 when they achieved 91,21%. There were 69 bachelor passes, 67 diploma passes and 33 higher certificates.

SEX PROBLEMS DESTROYED ALL MY RELATIONSHIPSAn experience by; Mr JH. Kelly

Family Problems Health Problems & Many More...Financial Problems Love Relationships Work Crisis

6-years back before I met Akeem, I had gone through 8-different relationships that never lasted long. All the girlfriends I had used to laugh at me and separated from me because I had a very small manhood and very weak erections. But after I used different sex boosters from the pharmacy that all never worked, I became shy and lost interest in girlfriends. Finally I lost hope of being a real man.

Luckily I met an old friend of mine, who is 68 years old and had been helped byAkeem with a similar problem like mine, he then referred me to him. I bought Akeem’s sex booster and within 7-days, my manhood had grown bigger, stronger & long up to the right size I always wanted. My erections also became very strong; I was shocked! Because for many years I had wasted money trying to fix this problem but got no results, till I met Akeem. Today am a very happy man and I highly recommend Akeem to those experiencing a similar problem like I was before and are disappointed with other weak sex products. Remember size matters; Make your partner happy, let her notget into a secret love affair with another man to satisfy her sexual desires.

Thug caught red-handed

A 22-year-old suspect was caught inside a house in Spruitview attempting to steal the owners’ property while they were away on holiday. The neighbours, however, spotted the suspect breaking into the empty house and called the police, who found the suspect inside the house when they arrived on the scene and observed how he had arranged a number of items for removal, namely electrical appliances, blankets and copper pipe. Captain Mega Ndobe, Communications officer of Katlehong Police Station, said

“The suspect is staying a street away from the house that he attempted to steal from. He was found in possession of a bundle of keys. Some of the keys were identified as belonging to other houses in the same street and the owner of the house was shocked as to how he got the keys.”He emphasized the role of neighbourhood watches, saying that they play a vital role in making sure that houses are kept safe while people are away on holiday. The suspect was arrested and charged with house breaking with the intention to steal.

ARRESTED: The arresting officer takes the suspect to the police van.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: The neighbour who called the police holds the keys taken from the suspect.

Katlehong police officers arrested two suspects aged 22 and 23 at Moleleki Extension 1 in Katlehong for attempted murder and for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.According to Captain Mega Ndobe, Katlehong Police Station spokesperson, police were on duty conducting their usual stop-and-search operation during the night when they received a phone call about a shooting incident taking place at Moleleki Extension 1. The police rushed to the scene and, on their arrival, found a woman who wanted to lay a charge about two young men driving a Toyota Conquest. She gave a description of the vehicle to the police, complaining that a gunshot had been fired at her from the car as she was about to enter the premises. “It is alleged,” said Ndobe, “that before she entered her premises, a Toyota Conquest stopped next to her. Two occupants climbed

out of the vehicle; one took out a gun, and fired a shot in her direction. The woman managed to run inside the house without injuries,” said Ndobe.Police started their investigation with a search of the vehicles around the area. The Toyota Conquest was spotted a few metres away from the scene and the suspects inside the vehicle were searched, with the result that a 9mm pistol with three rounds of ammunition was found inside the car.The woman identified the car and two suspects were arrested for attempted murder and for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. The firearm was seized and will be taken for ballistic tests for further investigation. The suspects are expected to appear in Palm Ridge Court soon.

Kathorus woman-owned team Ruby FC defeated all the other 23 male-owned teams at the inaugural Kathorus Soccer Tournament, walking away with R70 000, soccer kits, medals and a trophy. The tournament, which ran from 16 to 31 December, was the brainchild of the SCIP Engineering Company based in Ekurhuleni. In the first rounds of the tournament, which kicked off at Somhlolo Soccer Grounds, all 24 teams battled for the competition’s top four spots. The four top performing teams competed in the semi-finals, and the finals were held at Hunters Field Stadium in Katlehong. In the finals Ruby FC was pitted against Heineken FC and the soccer match ended in a 1-all draw. Both teams advanced to the penalty shoot-out, when Ruby FC’s goalkeeper Kagiso Mlambo managed to stop two goal-bound

balls which eased the path for his team-mates to secure victory. The final score-line was 4-3 in favour of Ruby FC. According to the owner of Ruby FC, Ouma Mofokeng, the team was excited to win the inaugural cup. “The tournament was difficult and all teams were well prepared; however, the best team won at the end of the day. We greatly appreciate that the tournament was held in our township. The tournament lived up to its mandate of urging drug users to refrain from drugs and start living positive lifestyles,” said Mofokeng. Tournament organizer Lungane Shongwe was excited that the sponsor of the event, SCIP Engineering Group, invested R 250 000 in the tournament. As if that were not enough, three lucky soccer fans who are studying engineering also stood a chance of winning a bursary from SCIP Engineering Group.

Foreign coaches dominate Afcon Cup

The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Equatorial Guinea on Saturday is dominated by foreign coaches. This situation has raised concerns about the direction that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is taking in developing football and local coaches on the continent. While the beautiful game’s pundits are continuing to preach about the African football renaissance or the development of footballers, most of the CAF affiliate associations snub domestic coaches and prefer to employ foreign coaches to lead their respective senior national teams. In the Equatorial Guinea Afcon 2015 there will be only three African born coaches leading national soccer teams. They include: the Democratic Republic of Congo team, which will be led by Florent Lebenge who was born in Kinshasa DRC; the Zambian national team, which is coached by Zambian born Honour Janza and the South African team, which is led by the industrious Ephraim “Shakes” Mashaba. The other 13 countries taking part in the Afcon 2015 tournament will be led by foreign coaches. So, it is ironic that CAF has the ambition to see an African team lift the World Cup trophy in the near future. That seems to be a far-fetched dream, as most of the continent’s football governing associations have little faith in their own home-grown coaches. Africa is optimistic that the three African born coaches will prove the other countries wrong by winning the AFCON. This would make history and remind CAF and its affiliates that African coaches are equally skilled, and competent enough to rub shoulders with the best coaches in the world.

OUR AFRICAN COACH: Soweto born Coach Ephraim “Shakes” Mashaba will lead Bafana Bafana in Afcon 2015.
