From the beginning, it was our objective to develop sewer rehab robots that could be used as many ways as possible. Simple handling and the highest possible robustness in extreme conditions were intended to provide for maximum practical suitability. The rest is tradition, craftsmanship, and passion for detail.

Tradition We systematically extended the fields of application for robotics over the course of years and decades. The requirements within the sewer could hardly be higher. Confinement opposes freedom. However, don‘t difficulties form the best basis for ideas to overcome them?
5
Modernism We do not rest. State-of-the-art production standards have long beenimplemented. Sewer rehab robots of the Schwalm brand are produced with the utmost diligence in small-scale series. Component by component. This is what our company stands for.

See Camera-supported inspection, actual conditions, do-cumentation, quality assurance, work preparation, control during work. Our robots deliver them: razor-sharp images.
Acting For example: feather edging projecting nozzles, processing short liner material, removing penetrated roots and incrustations, removing concrete, removing projecting metal parts. And do not forget to clean up afterwards.
Moving From A to B. Maneuvering lateral connection packers to the repair location in order to set short liners and hat seals. Delivery, installation, later collection. In pipe formats between DN 130 and DN 600.
7
The cameras Extended visual nerve instead of simple tunnel vision. High-resolution, fast lens, robust.
The tools Matching the action: A whole range of high-qua-lity tools is available. Powered by high-torque air motors.
Wheels and axle extenders Adapt the chassis of the robots from pipe format to pipe format.
Digital control, automatic cable drum, dual hoseNo action without nervous system. The digital control allows you to control everything. Additionally, the umbilical cords of our sewer rehab robots to the outside: the auto-matic cable drum for power, control and video signals, and the dual hose for compressed air and water.

The conical wheel shape optimizes the traction of the robot carriage in the sewer. Furthermore axle extenders and spacer disks are made of solid brass. This increases the robot‘s weight, which is advantageous for its stability. Thus, the Talpa FSR 2060 weighs 90 kilograms and more when fully equipped. The stability is an important property in order to perform milling work or remove concrete in a stable manner.

* Comment on the light sensitivity: The Lux values we specified refer to the color rendering in daytime mode. Sewer cameras are operated in daytime mode and not in nighttime mode! Only in daytime mode the cameras deliver useful moving images in a sufficiently good color quality. That is, images without noise and artifacts. The fast lens LEDs of our cameras generate the ambient light required for the aforementioned. Lower Lux values (i.e. higher sensitivity in thousandths and tenths) are be represented technically, but do not provide any further benefit.
