PERMISSIONUsamos CAN para pedir por permiso para hacer
algo:
*Can I ask a question, please?
*Can we go home now.
COULD es mas formal y cortés que can:
*Could I ask a question please?
*Could we go home now?
MAY es otra forma más formal y cortés para pedir por permiso:
*May I ask a question please?
*May we go home now?
Usamos CAN para dar permiso:
*You can go home now if you like.
*You can borrow my pen if you like.
MAY es una forma más formal y educada de dar permiso:
*You may go home now, if you like.

Usamos COULD y WOULD como formas educadas de decir o pedirle a alguien que haga algo.

CAN y WILL son menos formales.

Usamos SHOULD para hacer sugerencias y dar consejos.

Usamos COULD para hacer sugerencias:
*We could meet at the weekend.*You could eat out tonight.
