• The exposition of the trailer is that a girls father is agreeing to her going on holiday with her friend.

• The clips are long and descriptive.

• The lighting is bright and the music is quite upbeat.

• The long shots do not imply that anything bad will happen.

Complications

• We know the complication has started when the plane takes off.

• The music fades to silent as the happiness fades to black

• There is no music and the phone rings. With a close up of the phone increases tension.

Rising action

• The rising action is when the girl phones her dad and says “They have Amanda.”

• The music starts to become tense with a rhythmic beat that could signify a heart beat.

• The camera shots are ranging from medium shots to close ups which increase tension.

Climax

• We know we’ve reached the climax when the girl is dragged from underneath the bed.

• The amplified scream of the girl will shock the audience and cause a lot of tension and suspense. The close up of the girl gives the impression that we as an audience are under the bed with her.

• There is no music when the girl screams however when she is dragged out, intense music fades in.
