Takeaways from TedTalks Storytelling

200 speakers studied. Their secrete? Master storytellers.
The first 30 seconds is everything. You have to suck people in not introduce yourself. Dive into the story. Be different. Take the audience along with you on a journey. Be Relatable. People are hardwired to listen to stories.

Hook/Conflict.Every story has a hook or conflict. It’s a fight between opposing forces that forces the audience to ask
what will happen next.A personal story helps.Give audience new material, the stronger and more relatable the
conflict the more in touch the audience will be.No conflict = no curiosity = no interest.

The SparkThe spark is the wisdom or the process that the character in your
story receives in order to overcome the conflict. The Change is when the character must adapt or change because of
conflict. The takeaway is what is gained from the story. Character > Conflict > Spark > Change > Takeaway message.
