للمساهمة العربية اإلستثمارات إجتذبت التي املشاريع وأول املشترك، اإلقتصادي العمل في العربية اجلهود أوائل

في مسيرة األردن التنموية. وعليه، فإن شركة البوتاس العربية هي حاملة رسالة بأن تكون منوذجاً يحتذى به في

التوظيف األمثل لإلستثمار، واملساهمة اإليجابية والفعالة لكافة اجلهات املعنية، وبشكل خاص اجملتمع األردني في

كافة أرجاء هذا الوطن الطيب.

وتركز شركة البوتاس العربية في هذا املسعى على ترجمة الرؤى امللكية السامية حلضرة صاحب اجلاللة الهاشمية

امللك عبداهلل الثاني إبن احلسني املعظم حفظه اهلل، بأن »األولوية هي تأمني حياة أفضل جلميع األردنيني« إلى واقع

ملموس، وذلك عن طريق دعم اجملتمعات احمللية والعمل على تلبية احتياجاتها بالشكل الذي يرتقي باملستوى املعيشي

التوازن االجتماعي املنشود والتنمية إلى احمللي ويساهم في تطوير اخلدمات املقدمة في مختلف القطاعات وصوالً

املستدامة.

واستجابة لهذا التوجه، فقد قدمت الشركة ما يزيد عن 10 ماليني دينار لدعم األعمال التنموية، مع التركيز على

قطاعات حيوية هي املياه والتعليم والصحة والبنية التحتية. ويتم اختيار وتنفيذ املشاريع التي تدعمها الشركة

بناء على معايير محددة وبالتعاون مع اجملتمعات احمللية واملؤسسات احلكومية واألهلية. وشملت املشاريع التنموية

والصرف الصحي، واخلدمات املياه اململكة مجاالت أرجاء العربية عام 2013 في سائر البوتاس التي دعمتها شركة

الصحية، والتعليمية، وبناء املنشآت العامة، ونشاطات النقابات واالحتادات العمالية، واجلمعيات اخليرية، وحملة طرود

اخلير، واالندية واالحتادات الرياضية، والبلديات، وترميم املساجد والكنائس، ومكافحة الفقر.

Message from the Chairman

The Arab Potash Company (APC) was founded in the middle of the 20th century as a joint Arab development project. It was one of the first efforts at joint Arab economic action, and the first project that attracted Arab investments to contribute to the development of Jordan. Accordingly, APC has a mission to be a role model in the optimal employment of investment, and in making positive and effective contributions to all stakeholders, especially Jordanian society in all parts of this good country.APC focuses on translating the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, that the first «priority is a better life for all Jordanians» into reality by supporting local communities and working to address their needs in ways that raise local living standards and contribute to improving services provided in different sectors, in the aim of achieving social balance and sustainable development. To fulfill this outlook, APC provided more than JD 10 million to support development activities with a focus on vital sectors, namely water, education, health and infrastructure. APC selects projects for implementation on the basis of specific criteria and in cooperation with local communities, the Government, and NGOs. APC supported projects in all parts of the Kingdom in 2013 in the areas of water and sanitation, health services, education, building public facilities, professional and labor association activities, social welfare, welfare package campaigns, sports federations and clubs, municipal services, restoration of mosques and churches, and fighting poverty.

التعليم

قدمت شركة البوتاس العربية مبلغ 2331820 ديناراً لدعم قطاع التعليم. ففي قطاع التعليم العالي دعمت الشركة إنشاء مختبرات في جامعة احلسني بن طالل في معان، وحتويل الصالة الرياضية إلى مدرج ومسرح في جامعة الطفيلة التقنية، وشراء حافالت وكاميرات مراقبة ملكافحة العنف اجلامعي في جامعة مؤتة، ودعم مركز حمدي منكو للبحوث العلمية في اجلامعة األردنية، وإنشاء مختبر حاسوب في كلية

امللك عبداهلل الثاني للتكنولوجيا في اجلامعة األردنية.السكر، طواحني مدرسة وإنشاء اجلنوبية، األغوار في التقوية دروس الشركة دعمت والتعليم التربية قطاع وفي وإنشاء مدرسة في حي املكرمة امللكية في األغوار اجلنوبية، وإنشاء مختبر حاسوب في مدرسة بالط الشهداء ومبادرة

مدرستي لبرامجها في املناطق اجلنوبية، وشمل الدعم أكثر من مائة مدرسة في مختلف املناطق.

Education

APC provided JD 2,331,820 to support the education sector. In higher education, the Company supported building and equipping laboratories in the AL Hussein Bin Talal University in Ma’an, the conversion of the gym into a theater at Tafila Technical University, the purchase of buses and surveillance cameras to prevent university violence at the University of Mu’tah, support for the Hamdi Mango Center for Scientific Research at the University of Jordan, and building a computer laboratory at the King Abdullah II School of Technology at the University of JordanAt the school level, APC supported reinforcement tutoring for high school students in the Southern Jordan Valley, building and equipping Tawahin Al Sukkar School and a School at Al Makrumah Al Malakiyah District in the Southern Valley, building and equipping a computer lab at Balat Al Shuhada School, and support for Madrasati Initiative’s programs in the southern regions. APC’s support reached more than 100 schools in all regions of the Kingdom.

املتلقية والعمل اخليري، وقد مت اختيار عدد من اجلمعيات التنمية قدمت الشركة مبلغ 1848901دينار لدعم قطاع لهذا الدعم من قبل وزارة التنمية اإلجتماعية، وهي اجلهة احلكومية املسؤولة عن تنظيم العمل اإلجتماعي، بناء على معايير واضحة تشمل مصداقية اجلمعيات وجناح نشاطاتها واملشاريع التي سوف تستخدم هذا الدعم لتحقيقها.

وشمل الدعم ما يزيد عن مائتي جمعية في مختلف مناطق اململكة.

Social Development and Welfare

APC provided JD 1,848,901 to support the social development sector and charity work. A number of welfare associations were selected to receive assistance by the Ministry of Social Development, the government agency responsible for regulating social work, on the basis of clear criteria that included the organizations’ credibility, the success of their activities and the projects that would receive this support. More than 200 associations in various parts of the Kingdom received support.

APC provided JD 2,054,591 to support a number of government institutions and official bodies that included the ministries of Health, Justice and Public Works, Jordan Radio and Television Corporation, the Department of Land and Survey, the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Arab Countries, the General Federation of Jordanian Farmers, the Royal Medical Services , the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development, the Jordanian Hashemite Fund, the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization, the King Abdullah II Development Fund, the Chamber of Commerce of Karak , the Amman Chamber of Commerce, the Amman Chamber of Industry, the Ma’an Governorate Chamber of Commerce, the Tafila Chamber of Commerce and industry, and the restoration of the palace of Founder King in Ma’an, as well as different municipalities.

قدمت الشركة مبلغ 1328170 ديناراً لدعم قطاع الصحة، شملت توفير أجهزة غسيل كلى مع كراسيها ملستشفى املفرق احلكومي ومستشفى اإلميرة إميان في املعدي ومستشفى األميرة إميان في عجلون ومستشفى الندمي في مادبا التابعة لوزارة الصحة، ومستشفى األمير راشد بن احلسن في إربد ومستشفى امللكة رانيا ومدينة احلسني الطبية التابعة للخدمات الطبية امللكية، وتزويد مستشفى األمير زيد بن احلسني في الطفيلة بأجهزة أسنان وأسرة طوارئ وأسرة طبية، ودعم مركز احلسني للسرطان، وإنشاء قسم للباطنية في مستشفى غور الصافي، وإقامة مركز أمومة

وطفولة في مركز غور الصافي الصحي.

Health

APC provided JD 1,328,170 to support the health sector, which covered providing dialysis equipment with special chairs to Al Mafraq Government Hospital, Princess Iman Hospital at AL Maadi, Princess Iman Hospital in Ajloun, Al Nadeem Hospital in Madaba which is run by the Ministry of Health, Prince Rashed bin Al Hassan Hospital in Irbid, Queen Rania Hospital, and the King Hussein Medical City which is run by the Royal Medical Services. It also covered equipping Prince Zeid bin AL Hussein Hospital in Tafila with dental equipment, hospital beds, and emergency ward beds, support for the King Hussein Cancer Center, building and equipping the Internal Medicine Department at Ghor AL Safi Hospital, and the establishment of a Mother and Child Center at the Ghor Al Safi Health Center.

Water and the Environment

APC provided JD 1,241,700 to support projects related to water and the environment. Projects financed included drilling two wells and the construction of water reservoirs in the Southern Valley in cooperation with the Ministry of Water. Support was also given to the Royal Society for the Protection of the Marine Environment, the Royal Society for the Protection of Nature, Edama Association for Energy, Water and Environment Productivity, Friends of the Earth and the Middle East, the Jordan Environment Society, and the Numeira Society for the Environment based in Ghor Al Mazra’ah.

Sports Activities

APC provided JD 487,500 to support sports activities. The money was used to finance maintenance of the Prince Faisal Sports Complex in cooperation with the Higher Council for Youth, support for the Jordan Football Federation, the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation, as well as 60 sports clubs in different parts of Jordan.

APC provided JD 38,495 to support professional and workers’ associations, including the General Federation of Workers’ Associations, the General Association of Jordanian Petrochemical Workers, the Jordanian Dentists’ Association, the Jordanian Teachers’ Association, the Engineers Association, and the Association of Agricultural Engineers.
