Hi! My name is Iskander Turan and it is my honor to be
serving you as your Lieutenant Governor for the ser-
vice year of 2015-2016 for Division 17! I am currently
a Junior at Tenafly High School and have been involved
in Key Club for the past three years. However, it was
not long ago that I truly found my passion and joy in
Key Club and that is something I wish to help spread
throughout our division.
My Hobbies!
I love to play and watch soccer with my friends! I real-
ly like Science and doing crazy experiments with my
Chemistry Club. I tutor students in French and Math
and I also babysit for pocket money; however, all my
money drains into my love for watching movies with
my friends.
My Goals!
To have an unprecedented number of Key Clubbers attend DCON, RTCs, Fall Rally and Key Leader
To train all my officers and visit as many clubs as possible To further increase the communications between the clubs To hold several divisional events To charter at least one Builder’s Club/K-Kids Club To strengthen a Kiwanis Club in my division

DCON, also know as District Convention,
is an event where hundreds of Key
Clubbers all around New Jersey come
together to celebrate the magic of
service! DCON was such an amazing
experience this year for not only me but
for all Key Clubbers! You listen to
motivational speeches, eat amazing food,
meet kind-hearted Key Clubbers like
yourself, dance like there’s no tomorrow,
and a whole lot more that you can only
experience by being there—don’t worry,
you can still go next year!
“DCON is like a big family reunion! You meet people
you know and people that you don't!”
- Kiana Lim, Vice President at Tenafly

To say that we rocked would be
an understatement!
Sejun, from North Bergen, came
second in the Talent Show with
his phenomenal yo-yo skills!
Daniel Cohen came first in his
Oratorical Speech! AND WAY
MORE!

The CMRF, or Club Monthly Report Form, may
be the bane of your existence, or the form you
can’t wait for each month! Either way, this is a
very important part of Key Club! The secretary
of each club is technically responsible for this.
It is his/her duty to complete the form and send
it to my email, [email protected], and
[email protected]! Please note that
there is a new form which is different to last
year’s so make sure you are filing out the right
form!
With all the amazing things in Key Club, you do
have to sacrifice some things—even if that is 30
minutes of paperwork!
Due: 7th of
each month

the state and the entire District Board.

Want to spend a week away in Indianapolis with 1,600
other Key Clubbers from across the U.S, Canada, and
the Caribbean?
Well be sure to go to ICON to have your mind blown
away! Contact me if you are interested! The price is
$1095—it’s a lot of money—but it’s worth every penny.
Hey, think about all the cool fundraisers you can do to
save up. Car washes, bake sales, Go-Fund-Me Pages,
are just a few glimpses of all the wonderful things you
can do to help your community and get to have the
best week of your life!

I know what you are thinking, “Iskander, how many
acronyms are there?” From CMRFS, RTCS, DCON, ICON,
and now DCMs, I can assure you these acronyms are not
as scary as they may seem! DCMs, or Divisional Council
Meetings, are events that I will hold 5/6 times throughout
this service year! All officers must go to these DCMs
where I will discuss with you what needs be.
DCMs will be held at public areas like Starbucks and
Dunkin’ Donuts! So you can chill with your favorite Key
Clubbers and talk about divisional/district happenings!
Dates/Locations are still tentative but here is a rough
schedule:
1st DCM ~ May
2nd DCM ~ Summer Vacation
3rd DCM ~ September
4th DCM ~ November
5th DCM ~ January
6th DCM ~ March
I will post a survey to see
where you want the DCMs to
be held! The location will be
changed each time so no
school has to travel too far!
