We were still having a bit of jet lag on Friday, but we still managed to go to Feng Jia Night Market to have a look! Also, we went on a morning walk on Saturday at National Taichung Theater and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi.

Saturday: Lihpao Outlet Mall + Chung She Flower Garden

2.00pm Head for Lihpao Land

3.00pm Roam around outlet mall

4.00pm Head for Chung She Flower Garden

7.00pm Eat at Top City

*There’s a large ferris wheel called Sky Dream at Lih Pao Land, it costs around TWD300+!

Sunday: Church + Exploring Taichung City

11.00am Mass at Immaculate Conception Church

12.00pm Lunch at Taroko Mall

2.00pm Head for Miyahara

Places to go:Miyahara (Gong Yuan Yan Ke) -No. 20 Zhongshan RoadZhong District, Taichung

*Miyahara is a famous pastry shop in Taichung where you can buy souvenirs. A bit expensive here though but the food’s good!*

Monday: Sun Moon Lake

8.00am Depart from Taichung City

9.30am Arrive at Sun Moon Lake

4.00pm Leave Sun Moon Lake

5.00pm Exploring Puli Township*there’s a food street here with free samples, and you can also hike up a mountain and reward yourself with a breathtaking view of Puli while watching people parachute over Puli town!*

7.30pm Arrive in Taichung City

Travelling time: 1.5 hours

Monday: Sun Moon Lake

Getting to Sun Moon Lake:From Taichung City (台中), take Highway 6 east to exit 29 in Puli. After exiting the highway, turn left onto route 14. After passing the Puli Visitor Information Center (埔里遊客中心), turn right onto Route 21. Route 21 and 21甲 circle around the lake.

Getting to Formosan Village:Take the gondola cable car service from Sun Moon Lake Ita Thao. (This place is an attraction/amusement park.)

Saturday*: Cing Jing Farm

7.00am Depart from Taichung City

8.30am Arrive at Cing Jing Farm

3.00pm Leave Cing Jing Farm

4.30pm Arrive in Taichung City

Travelling time: 1.5 hours

Getting to Qingjing Farm:The park is located along Highway 14 between Wushe and Hehuanshan.

*This trip was cancelled due to rainy weather.*

Day 1*: Exploring taipei city

9.00am Depart for Taipei

10.00am Arrive at Taipei City

11.00am Check-in at hotel

4.00pm Taipei 101 & Elephant Mountain

7.30pm Dinner at Citylink Mall Nangang

*We took the High Speed Rail from Taichung and alighted at Nangang.

**We tried hiking at Elephant Mountain but I didn’t realise it was 50 minutes and my relatives were waiting downstairs so we ended up going back to Taipei 101 LOL

Day 2: Yehliu + Shifen + Jing Gua Shi + Jiufen

*I initially planned Shifen and Jiufen but since we booked a tour package, we went to so much more places than what I had expected! I recommend getting a tour package with a van and a driver and everything because the driver doubles as a all-around tour guide

Yehliu > Shifen > Jin Gua Shi > Jiufen

Day 3: Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall + Back to Taichung

10.00am Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall*It rained halfway so we didn’t get to see this much

*We didn’t get to go to Shilin Night Market and Ximending but I heard it’s really nice there! Next time I’ll come back for that HAHA*

Day 1: Exploring taipei city

Getting to Ximending:- Take MRT to 西門 station- Take Exit 6 to 西門紅樓

Getting to Taipei 101:- Take the Red Line 2 (象山 train) to Taipei 101 station (台北101)- Walk south to enter the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi (新光三越) complex (known as the Xinyi Shopping District) towards 101.

Getting to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall:- Take Red Line 2 or Green Line 3 to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (中正紀念堂), C.K.S. Memorial Hall.

Day 1: Exploring taipei city

Getting to Elephant Mountain from Taipei 101:- Walk east on Xinyi Road (信義路) for two blocks until you reach MRT XiangshanStation (terminus of Red Line 2) - 15 minutes walk. - Leave from Exit 2 and continue walking along the park. At the end of this road, take a left and follow until the entrance for Xiangshan Hiking Trail (象山登山步道),

Travelling time: around 20 mins

Best time to visit Elephant Mountain: Late Afternoon

Day 2 : Taipei Activities

Getting to Shifen & Jiufen: A shuttle bus service is available to Shifen, stopping first at Jiufen (九份) then to Taipei City at Ximending Youth Shopping District (西門町), leaving in the morning and returning before dinner.

Travelling time: 1.5 hours
